Bunny Rolls
A little bunny twist on classic cinnamon rolls - these ooey gooey delights are perfect for breakfast or a late night snack. Let's get hopping!
Ingredients
For the dough
3 ½ cups plain flour
¼ cup + 3 tablespoons milk
¼ cup + 3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon white sugar
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 egg
1 teaspoon of salt
For the sweet filling
¼ cup white sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
For the icing
1 cup + 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
2 tablespoons water
Preparation
- Pour flour, baking powder, milk, butter, sugar, the egg and salt in the breadmaker. Select the cake kneading program for 20 minutes.
- Cut the dough in half and roll it with a rolling pin, until the dough is rectangular and approximately 8mm thick.
To make the sweet filling, pour sugar and cinnamon into a bowl and mix. - Pour the sweet filling onto the dough - roll up the dough from the long side and cut into rounds approximately 3cm thick.
- To make the bunny ears, roll out the dough into roughly 2cm strips. Then, fold the dough and add it to the rolls.
- In the NN-CD87KS HomeChef 4-in-1 MultiOven, bake the bunny rolls for 13-15 minutes at Convection 375°F
- While the bunny rolls bake, prepare the sweet frosting by mixing together water and powdered sugar.
Pour the frosting on the bunny rolls and serve!
