Hybrid Zoom
This combination of optical and crop zoom further extends the focal length, with a zoom ring for smooth zoom control, expanding the Zoom Range by approx. 3x (LUMIX S1RII allows up to 4.2x zoom with the Hybrid Zoom Function).
Compatible with zoom lenses, for example:
- 28-200mm → 28-600mm
- 16-35mm → 16-105mm
- 70-300mm → 70-900mm
Now available for LUMIX S9, S5II, S5IIX and S1RII (S5II and S5IIX require a firmware update).

This feature extends the zoom range on fixed focal lenses while maintaining image quality. The zoom range expands by approx. 3x (LUMIX S1RII allows up to 4.2x zoom with the Crop Zoom Function).
