The 2025 B&H Bild Expo, held June 17–18 at the Javits Center in New York City, once again proved to be a dynamic gathering point for creatives across photography, filmmaking, and even live production. Panasonic LUMIX returned to the show floor, showcasing its innovative lineup and offering hands-on experiences, presentations by top LUMIX Ambassadors, and even a special camera giveaway to a lucky attendee.
Sponsored by B&H Photo Video, the Bild Expo is a two-day celebration of visual storytelling that combines industry panels, keynote presentations, gear exhibits, and creative workshops. This year’s show drew tens of thousands of enthusiasts and professionals looking to connect, learn, and try out the latest imaging gear. With more than 250 exhibitors and over 100 scheduled speakers, Bild is one of the premier events for content creators and gearheads alike.

Inside the LUMIX Booth
Panasonic’s LUMIX booth (#906) served as a hub of activity, drawing large crowds eager to get their hands on the latest full-frame S Series hybrid mirrorless cameras. Leading the charge were the new LUMIX S1II, S1IIE, and S1RII, each offering unique advantages for both still shooters and filmmakers. The S1RII, with its 44.3MP sensor and high resolution detail, stood out for portrait and studio photographers, while the S1II and S1IIE offered hybrid shooters next-generation video performance.
The booth also featured the compact LUMIX S9, ideal for lifestyle and travel content creators, as well as the popular S5II and S5IIX, which remain top choices for creators seeking professional features in a compact body.

Ambassador-Led Presentations and a Popular Photo Walk
A major highlight of the LUMIX booth was its daily presentation schedule, with inspiring talks from LUMIX Ambassadors Suzette Allen, Matthew Sutherland, and Ben Staley.
Suzette Allen brought her signature creativity and passion for portrait photography, showing how LUMIX empowers her to shoot high-end stills with the S1RII. Matthew Sutherland, known for his storytelling in wedding and branded content, broke down his real-world workflows and how tools like the S5IIX make his productions faster and more flexible.

Ben Staley, a multi-talented filmmaker, photographer, and adventurer, shared his approach to capturing unscripted moments in the field—often working solo in extreme environments. In addition to his booth presentation, Staley led a sold-out photo walk with over 40 attendees, guiding photographers through the streets of downtown Manhattan. The walk focused on “Photography as Meditation,” blending creative exploration with mindfulness and practical techniques for street and environmental images.
Panasonic PAVNA Joins the Booth with Broadcast-Ready Gear
Sharing the space with LUMIX was Panasonic PAVNA (Professional Audio and Video Systems), showcasing several key solutions for multi-camera and broadcast-style workflows. On display were the AG-CX370, a versatile ENG-style camcorder; the AW-UE160 PTZ camera, designed for live event capture with advanced tracking and cinematic performance; and the AW-UB10 box camera, which brings high-quality imaging and compact form to studio environments.
For content creators working across platforms—YouTube, events, streaming, or hybrid productions—the combination of LUMIX and PAVNA gear offered a clear path from single-operator shoots to multicam productions with scalable solutions.

To cap off the show, Panasonic held a special giveaway of the new LUMIX S1R2. The drawing took place in the booth with B&H’s Chief Marketing Officer Jeff Gerstal and LUMIX Senior Account Manager Brad Cohn presenting the prize. After the crowd gathered in anticipation, it was announced that Jose Park was the winner of the flagship camera.

The B&H Bild Expo 2025 reaffirmed Panasonic’s commitment to empowering creators across every level of experience. From casual creators to broadcast professionals, LUMIX brought tools, talent, and community to one of the year’s best creative events.

Whether it was discovering new features in the S1II lineup, learning from top creators, or walking the streets of Manhattan with a LUMIX in hand, Bild was a reminder of why this gear—and the creator community—continues to inspire.
“BILD is one of the best events for creators of all levels to connect, learn, and be inspired,” said Cohn. “B&H has created a great space for hands-on education and direct access to manufacturers. For LUMIX, it’s an opportunity to listen to the community, understand what drives creators, and continue pushing innovation forward.”
