Listening to creators needs, this update delivers efficiency in both production and post-production workflows, providing important time (and therefore cost) saving benefits. The new firmware improves the shooting experience and enhances sharing functionality for both images and videos.

Compatibility with Adobe Camera to Cloud
Adobe Camera to Cloud enables recorded content to be directly uploaded to the Frame.io platform from the camera through Wi-Fi or USB tethering, for seamless sharing of captured photos (JPEG/RAW) and Proxy videos, enabling remote checking and joint editing using non-linear editing software.
(This does not guarantee all of the functions of “Adobe Camera to Cloud”)
Proxy recording
Simultaneously record a low-bit-rate proxy video with a during video recording, for easier editing and post-production (rough cutting, editing on less powerful devices, or collaborating over the internet)
Pre-burst shooting mode
The addition of the [SH PRE] function enables recording of images from the moment the shooter half-presses the shutter button, allowing retroactive burst shooting up to the moment the shutter button is pressed down fully
Enhancement of automatic detection function
More accurate human body recognition; and the separate detection for animal eyes; cars and motorcycles have been added to automatic detection
Enhancement of Image Stabilizer performance
[HIGH] mode has been added to the E-Stabilization (Video) function, which electronically corrects large shakes when shooting on the move; perspective distortion correction remedies the issues that tend to occur during video recording when using a wide-angle lens
