S9 V1.1
- Unlimited Recording: Enjoy the option to record without time limitation¹.
(1) - The recording time varies depending on the environment and operating conditions. - Multiple Frame Markers: Add up to three frame markers, for creators planning shots with multiple compositions or across platforms, further enhancing the unrivalled convenience of shooting in Open Gate
- Enhanced Subject Detection: The highly accurate Phase Hybrid Autofocus system has been further improved with detection of airplanes and trains, as well as specific parts of cars and motorcycles.
- Improvements to the LUMIX Lab Smartphone App: Now expanded to include remote shooting, shutter remote control, and the ability to transfer images selected on the camera.
S9 V1.2 (Released at 9:00PM EDT on Oct 17th )
- Improved the stability of firmware updates via Wi-Fi (LUMIX Lab/LUMIX Sync)
- Updating to Version 1.2 enhances the stability of future firmware updates performed via Wi-Fi.
- Firmware Version 1.2 also includes all the items, functions, and features introduced in Version 1.1.
S5II V3.1, S5IIX V2.1, and G9II V2.2
- Real Time LUT Can Now Be Assigned to Fn Button: This allows creators to easily enjoy a range of popular, classic or bespoke color styles in-camera.
- LEICA Monochrome is Now Available as a Photo Style: New access to this strong, dynamic monochrome shooting option².
(2) - New for S5II and S5IIX. LEICA Monochrome comes pre-installed on the G9II. - DMW-XLR2 Support: The latest Panasonic XLR microphone adapter, DMW-XLR2, is now supported³.
(3) - 32 Bit Float recording is not available on the S5II, S5IIX or G9II - 5GHz Wi-Fi Frequency Option Now Available: 5GHz has been added to the existing 2.4GHz option⁴.
(4) - Depending on the region, local regulations, etc. may prevent using the 5GHz frequency band outdoors.
In line with LUMIX’s continuous commitment to supporting creators, the firmware is available to download free of charge from the LUMIX Global Customer Support.
The firmware update through the LUMIX Lab/Sync app for the S9 is tentatively not available. Please update the firmware using an SD card.
