Rated 1 out of 5 by from My replacement TV just failed When this TV works, it is amazing. Problem is, I have had two sets last less than 90 days. The first one it took my service center 8 weeks to get the replacement panel (part) which wasn't all Panny's fault. The rep stepped in and fixed it by replacing the set. The issue was a black bar on the right side. Well, just inside three months in my second TV has the same issue on the other side. Amazing, Avoid this set at all costs - in my opinion Panasonic has some serious QC issues. The odds I would get two bad units is very small unless there is a bigger issue. My TV has been broken longer than it has worked by a factor of 2:1.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from TCP65ST50 - 11 Day Break We purchased this TV from a local retailer on April 3, 2013. We installed it that weekend 2 days later. Only 11 days after that the dreaded 13 red light blink showed itself and the tv quit working. Reviewing online customer reports this as the A board failure. Some customers even had other failures for the P board. We were lucky enough to have the 15 day money back return for defective products. We have been true Panasonic buyers for years until now. Please Panasonic fix your issues by providing qiality products instead of saving money by building off shore.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Screen Was Bad on Arrival But Was Swapped Out Fast I heard some bad reviews about this product. It's too bad, because I've been buying flawless Panasonic Plasma's since 2002. Panasonic is the best in TV's, but this particular model has been shown to have similar negative reviews. I do appreciate Panasonic taking care of their problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Picture Quality I ordered this tv online because I found it a lot cheaper than the big box stores but I did look at it before purchasing. This tv has about the best picture quality I have ever seen and it is really bright and I have the brightness level turned down. The only downside to this tv is it doesn't have many inputs and there are really no component input jacks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Must have got a dud! After reading all the reviews I thought this would be a great TV and it was until it stopped working. I would expect something like that out of a cheaper TV. Then to top it off it is going to take over 4 weeks to fix. This will probably be the last Panasonic product I buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Picture, Great Value Pro: Great picture. Pro: Great price (and thus great value). Pro: Great features. Smart Vierra technology provides instant access to a variety of online services. Pro: Wifi. Allows the TV to update firmware and grab your online data wirelessly. Con: Location of inputs, particularly HDMI, make it difficult to conceal connecting wires. Specifically, these ports are too close to the edge of the TV, and stiffer cables are impossible to completely conceal since they protrude from the side of the TV. Flexible cables are paramount to a clean installation. Con: Many connection points are too close to each other, in particular the cable connection and the Optical connection.

Firmware & Drivers FIRMWARE
  • What should I do if my TV will not turn on and the power indicator LED is not flashing?
    Follow these troubleshooting steps:
    • Make sure your TV's power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
    • Make sure the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into has power by testing known working device in that outlet.
    • After verifying the TV is plugged into a working outlet, try pressing the [POWER] button on the TV instead of the TV remote.
If the outlet is working and the TV will not turn on after pressing the [POWER] button on the TV, please consider having the unit serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.
  • What should I do if the front Power indicator LED light is blinking?
    1. Unplug the TV's power cord.
    2. Unplug all cables.
    3. Power the TV using a different power outlet (do not use a power strip or surge protector).

If the problem persists, please consider having the TV serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.

Note: Count how many times the LED light blinks. This can help a technician troubleshoot the problem.
  • What should I do if I can access all of the TV apps except Netflix?
    1. Change the DNS setting of your TV to
    2. If you are able to access the Netflix splash screen, use the TV remote to deactivate your account by pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up. After this process, try loggin back into the Netflix TV app.

If the procedure is successful a screen will come up with the option to deactivate your device from your account. If not try the process again. Once you have successfully deactivated your device, you will need to activate it by opening Netflix and at the main screen selecting Member Sign In, then following the on screen prompts until activation is complete.

If the Netflix app still fails to open, but all of the other TV apps work, visit for more support.

  • What should I do if I have bars displaying on the TV screen?
Change the format (aspect ratio) of the picture by pressing the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the TV's remote control. If you still have bars, check the aspect settings on your external video source, such as Cable/Satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray Disc player, etc. Note: Some content, such as film-based movies, are available in extra-wide format. Top and bottom bars are unavoidable.
