Reviews

TC-P65S60 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture Perfect I love the picture on this Plasma TV. Couldn't be happier with my choice. Originally I was shopping for a 70" TV to replace my 60" LED however I wanted to go back to Plasma which I've owned in the past. I feel the Plasma screens have the best picture. Well the largest Plasma I could find is the 65" Panasonic, so I was willing to give up 5" to go back to Plasma. I didn't want 3D or a lot of smart TV features (I use a Panasonic Home Theater System for that) so this TV fit all my needs. Out of the box this TV has excellent preset picture choices, I preferred the cinema mode and don't use the automatic dimming feature which I feel is too dark. I also did the user adjustment settings or calibration that I found on the internet however these setting are almost identical to the cinema mode can't really tell any difference. This model does not have antireflection technology that the more expensive models have so you need to be careful with lighting reflecting on the screen, my lighting is placed where it won't reflect. I feel you can't get a better picture for the money, sound system is better than i thought it would be. Extremely satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Great Plasma From Panasonic This is my fourth Panasonic Plasma. My first is still the TV we watch every day and the picture is still fantastic. I was impressed with the speed in which Panasonic delivered the TV and the delivery guys were very willing to carry it downstairs and set it up. I am an audio / video enthusiast and picture quality is of great importance to me. I bought this set for my neighbor who was also trying to work within a limited budget. I believe it would be hard to find a better combination of picture and features at this price. My neighbor is very happy with this TV and very appreciative of my recommendation. Highly recommended.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good Price This TV has a great picture and is easy to use. The only issue with this Panasonic TV is the buzzing. I'm an IT analyst/technology guru so I know electronics and research everything. The buzzing problem stems from the scan board so I had it replaced, but it still has an obnoxious buzzing. It will get louder with a white screen and quieter with dark screens. Otherwise I love Panasonic plasmas I've had four of them, but my others didn't have the buzzing. I'm now up in the air if I should recommend them anymore.

FAQs
  • What should I do if my TV will not turn on and the power indicator LED is not flashing?
    Follow these troubleshooting steps:
    • Make sure your TV's power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
    • Make sure the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into has power by testing known working device in that outlet.
    • After verifying the TV is plugged into a working outlet, try pressing the [POWER] button on the TV instead of the TV remote.
If the outlet is working and the TV will not turn on after pressing the [POWER] button on the TV, please consider having the unit serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.
  • What should I do if the front Power indicator LED light is blinking?
    1. Unplug the TV's power cord.
    2. Unplug all cables.
    3. Power the TV using a different power outlet (do not use a power strip or surge protector).

If the problem persists, please consider having the TV serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.

Note: Count how many times the LED light blinks. This can help a technician troubleshoot the problem.
  • What should I do if I can access all of the TV apps except Netflix?
    1. Change the DNS setting of your TV to 8.8.8.8.
    2. If you are able to access the Netflix splash screen, use the TV remote to deactivate your account by pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up. After this process, try loggin back into the Netflix TV app.

If the procedure is successful a screen will come up with the option to deactivate your device from your account. If not try the process again. Once you have successfully deactivated your device, you will need to activate it by opening Netflix and at the main screen selecting Member Sign In, then following the on screen prompts until activation is complete.

If the Netflix app still fails to open, but all of the other TV apps work, visit help.netflix.com for more support.

  • What should I do if I have bars displaying on the TV screen?
Change the format (aspect ratio) of the picture by pressing the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the TV's remote control. If you still have bars, check the aspect settings on your external video source, such as Cable/Satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray Disc player, etc. Note: Some content, such as film-based movies, are available in extra-wide format. Top and bottom bars are unavoidable.
