Reviews

TC-P60UT50 is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Experience I've had this TV for 9 months and the experience has been perfect. The 3D is flawless. The smart TV aspect is a big bonus. As the center of our home entertainment, I can't say enough about the ease of use and set up. Adjustments to color and sound are easy to find and even easier to adjust.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice TV I got this TV online but was not the model I wanted, my fault, but it plays very well, except, I question the 600 Hz motion, it does not work well at all on pretty fast motion. It looks like one of those copy paintings you see that has the ripple texture to it, well so does this, not smooth in the least. I had a 240 Hz and had no problems at all, maybe it's just this model. Not having the built in Wi-Fi was a disapointment, but that was because I chose the wrong model. Got an adapter and it works fine, cheaper than upgrading to the next model with it. Over-all, it is a good set and I enjoy it anyways.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice TV For its limited features Seriously not a bad looking TV. Al though the set looks descent out of the box im sure that this set will benefit most from a professional calibration. This is my first plasma television. I come from owning LCD and LED televisions. My first concern was the brightness of the set... as LCD and especially LED displays give off much more light, I was a bit concerned. I talked to a few employees at various best buy locations in my area and they all seem to be saying the same thing.... you just cant beat the overall picture quality of a plasma television. And also that once i get the television in my home, that ill see the brightness will not be a discerning factor. They are absolutely correct on that assumption. I have had this television for about 3 weeks now, and i am satisfied by my purchase. It shows wonderful shadow detail, Super dark blacks, and deep colors with rich detail. The audio is from the set speakers are thin but who in their right mind would determine their TV purchase on the sound when their are sound bars and home stereo units that can be used! Overall this is a very nice set.

FAQs
  • What should I do if my TV will not turn on and the power indicator LED is not flashing?
    Follow these troubleshooting steps:
    • Make sure your TV's power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
    • Make sure the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into has power by testing known working device in that outlet.
    • After verifying the TV is plugged into a working outlet, try pressing the [POWER] button on the TV instead of the TV remote.
If the outlet is working and the TV will not turn on after pressing the [POWER] button on the TV, please consider having the unit serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.
  • What should I do if the front Power indicator LED light is blinking?
    1. Unplug the TV's power cord.
    2. Unplug all cables.
    3. Power the TV using a different power outlet (do not use a power strip or surge protector).

If the problem persists, please consider having the TV serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.

Note: Count how many times the LED light blinks. This can help a technician troubleshoot the problem.
  • What should I do if I can access all of the TV apps except Netflix?
    1. Change the DNS setting of your TV to 8.8.8.8.
    2. If you are able to access the Netflix splash screen, use the TV remote to deactivate your account by pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up. After this process, try loggin back into the Netflix TV app.

If the procedure is successful a screen will come up with the option to deactivate your device from your account. If not try the process again. Once you have successfully deactivated your device, you will need to activate it by opening Netflix and at the main screen selecting Member Sign In, then following the on screen prompts until activation is complete.

If the Netflix app still fails to open, but all of the other TV apps work, visit help.netflix.com for more support.

  • What should I do if I have bars displaying on the TV screen?
Change the format (aspect ratio) of the picture by pressing the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the TV's remote control. If you still have bars, check the aspect settings on your external video source, such as Cable/Satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray Disc player, etc. Note: Some content, such as film-based movies, are available in extra-wide format. Top and bottom bars are unavoidable.
