TC-P55ST60 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great television This is a fantastic television I'm shocked at how great the 3d is. I didn't buy the tv for the 3d, I decided to try it out and wow! I'm impressed you will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best TV I've Ever Had or Viewed This TV is amazing. The picture is gorgeous! Colours are crisp and vibrant, skin hues lifelike and black levels are deep, deep, deep. The set was easy to set up and I modified the settings according to settings on CNet. Contrary to other reviewers, I have had absolutely no problems with image retention. I''ve used the 3D function and it was fine. The smart connection works well and I watch Netflix on the set and I've used the swap function to move photos from my IPhone to the TV. Watching movies and sports events is fantastic! Feels like you are almost in the building. Overall, this plasma set has met, and surpassed my expectations. Very happy!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not support MKV I have had this TV for 6 or 7 months now. The picture is excellent. However, the DNLA media player is difficult to configure and has very limited codec options. It will NOT play .MKV files even though it says they are supported. Support was no help. I am hoping they will update their codecs but nothing so far. If I want to watch a .mkv movie, I have to convert it to MP4 format which is a huge pain. I would use this TV a lot more but have to watch all my programs on a TV that supports my media files which does not have the picture quality. Disappointed...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Really disappointed I researched this TV thoroughly before purchasing and was impressed with the claims of superior picture quality for the money, but I should have paid more attention to the reports of image retention. The first 100 hours of use were full screen slides, the next 200 hours I avoided any source with static logos. After 300 hours of use I watched a baseball game for a couple of hours and experienced severe image retention. The Fox Sports and Cardinal's logos were distractingly visible on any light color background from my viewing position 12' away and lasted for days as I alternately used the built in screen wipe and Disney's WOW pixel flipper to lessen them. Any time I watch something with a static logo for a couple hours it takes days of work to make them less noticeable. The picture is great, but hardly worth the effort to keep the screen free from image retention.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Careful...Screen burn very easily!! I bought this Tv after doing reserchfor a while. I had an older Panasonic plasma that had an A-board malfuntion. The pic on this thing is great. Only problem is if you watch normal TV your in for trouble. Since almost all TV stations have logos or steady banners your at serious risk for image burn in. I know all the things people say about image retention versus burn in. I was watching HLN for a few weeks, just during the day and watched movies the rest of the time. I broke the TV in for 200 hours using the zoom mode and only having movies play. Anyhow I noticed the HLN logo in the bottom left of the screen when a white screen was displayed. The pixel orbiter was always on from the beginiing. I used to scrooling bar...didnt work. Watched plenty of regular tv, mostly movies for days and days. Now its still there, burned into my screen. Ive always owned plasmas because they have the best picture quality. I know if I contact panasonic they will tell me "oh well sorry thats not covered." So even after all these years of technology you still have a very very very good chance of screen burn not just image retention. I would seriously consider this before purchasing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a great TV The pictures on this site do not do justice for how nice this TV looks on the wall, I was so torn between waiting for the VT60 or buying the ST60. I can't imagine needing a better TV then this. The picture / and features are unbelievable, As a former shameful LED consumer, I hope panny keeps producing plasmas.

  • What should I do if my TV will not turn on and the power indicator LED is not flashing?
    Follow these troubleshooting steps:
    • Make sure your TV's power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
    • Make sure the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into has power by testing known working device in that outlet.
    • After verifying the TV is plugged into a working outlet, try pressing the [POWER] button on the TV instead of the TV remote.
If the outlet is working and the TV will not turn on after pressing the [POWER] button on the TV, please consider having the unit serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.
  • What should I do if the front Power indicator LED light is blinking?
    1. Unplug the TV's power cord.
    2. Unplug all cables.
    3. Power the TV using a different power outlet (do not use a power strip or surge protector).

If the problem persists, please consider having the TV serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.

Note: Count how many times the LED light blinks. This can help a technician troubleshoot the problem.
  • What should I do if I can access all of the TV apps except Netflix?
    1. Change the DNS setting of your TV to
    2. If you are able to access the Netflix splash screen, use the TV remote to deactivate your account by pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up. After this process, try loggin back into the Netflix TV app.

If the procedure is successful a screen will come up with the option to deactivate your device from your account. If not try the process again. Once you have successfully deactivated your device, you will need to activate it by opening Netflix and at the main screen selecting Member Sign In, then following the on screen prompts until activation is complete.

If the Netflix app still fails to open, but all of the other TV apps work, visit help.netflix.com for more support.

  • What should I do if I have bars displaying on the TV screen?
Change the format (aspect ratio) of the picture by pressing the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the TV's remote control. If you still have bars, check the aspect settings on your external video source, such as Cable/Satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray Disc player, etc. Note: Some content, such as film-based movies, are available in extra-wide format. Top and bottom bars are unavoidable.
