TC-P55ST30 is rated 2.4 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work after 18 months This was a great product until the thing went out. Watching Netflix through the Vieracast and POP no more picture. I am completely disappointed with this product. The buzzing noise is also another problem with this television, it can become very annoying. Hate to say it but will never buy a Panasonic product again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best picture/what's the buzz? I love this tv very much, superior picture, plasma has come a long way! However I too have the loud buzzing sound, looking at the back of the tv,it seems to come from the upper right corner.I've had the tv about 14 months,I wish I would have made a service call before the warrenty expired,or is this normal? I would appreciate a responce from someone who had this looked at by a repairman..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent TV About me, I am a video producer and video engineer and have videotaped from Pres. Clinton, Rosa Parks to working with Jack Palance. So, when it comes to broadcast, I know what I'm talking about. People have knocked the audio portion - televisions are not sound systems and that's what home theaters are for. The sound produced is what one would expect from a television and no different. The default color, brightness and contrast settings need to be adjusted for your viewing environment. People are complaining it is not great or sometimes only good. The only way to get a great picture is to go into the menu and set it properly. There are two products that can assist you with dialing it in. They would be "Sound &Vision - Home Theater Tune-up" and the other is "Spears & Munsil - High Definition Benchmark - Blue-ray Edition". The Spears & Munsil is the better choice for calibration. My menu "Cinema" settings have been adjusted and changed to the following: Contrast +44 Brightness +61 Color +50 Tint 0 Sharpness +50 You may need to adjust slightly from these settings because of your personal taste, video source being viewed or lighting conditions but, they will sure get you in the ballpark of incredible viewing. Cons - When viewing movies over the internet "Netflix" you cannot adjust the format of the picture. If the movie is Standard 4X3 you cannot make it widescreen or zoom in. I wonder if this was an oversight by Panasonic's engineering team.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome TV!! I got this TV brand new for a steal, but I didnt know exactly what it could do, the internet connectivity with included dongle made it easy to use the internet apps. It loads movies from Netflix super fast, and as for the picture quality INTENSE! I always have my PC hooked up via HDMI and stream movie, videos, and pics the TV is so crystal clear you can see everything no problem. Infact that is how I'm writing this review right now. The only downfall to this TV is the sound quality, bass is very limited, but the highs are not too bad, it does tend to distort at high levels, but I don't mind that much bc its hooked up to a 5.1 receiver and speakers. I constantly have my friends over and the TV has never disappointed, everyone says it is as good as a movie theatre in here. I can not speak on the 3D yet, but I'm just about to grab some glasses. another con to mention in closing is the dreaded humm/buzz that comes with plasmas, the fact is that almost every one will get it, but it is the trade off that comes with. the best picture on the market. The infinite black is great, make sure that this is on any plasma you get, no glare and the colors are so real, even better than any LED because they aren't over vibrantly bright. GREAT PRODUCT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tv My first new tv in 10 years and what a picture. The resolution depth and black level is outstanding - especially on bluray. Films from excellent source (good transfer) material is breath taking. Colors pop and there is no judder. I find myself staring at the picture as I would of a painting by a master artist.

FAQs
  • What should I do if my TV will not turn on and the power indicator LED is not flashing?
    Follow these troubleshooting steps:
    • Make sure your TV's power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
    • Make sure the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into has power by testing known working device in that outlet.
    • After verifying the TV is plugged into a working outlet, try pressing the [POWER] button on the TV instead of the TV remote.
If the outlet is working and the TV will not turn on after pressing the [POWER] button on the TV, please consider having the unit serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.
  • What should I do if the front Power indicator LED light is blinking?
    1. Unplug the TV's power cord.
    2. Unplug all cables.
    3. Power the TV using a different power outlet (do not use a power strip or surge protector).

If the problem persists, please consider having the TV serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.

Note: Count how many times the LED light blinks. This can help a technician troubleshoot the problem.
  • What should I do if I can access all of the TV apps except Netflix?
    1. Change the DNS setting of your TV to 8.8.8.8.
    2. If you are able to access the Netflix splash screen, use the TV remote to deactivate your account by pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up. After this process, try loggin back into the Netflix TV app.

If the procedure is successful a screen will come up with the option to deactivate your device from your account. If not try the process again. Once you have successfully deactivated your device, you will need to activate it by opening Netflix and at the main screen selecting Member Sign In, then following the on screen prompts until activation is complete.

If the Netflix app still fails to open, but all of the other TV apps work, visit help.netflix.com for more support.

  • What should I do if I have bars displaying on the TV screen?
Change the format (aspect ratio) of the picture by pressing the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the TV's remote control. If you still have bars, check the aspect settings on your external video source, such as Cable/Satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray Disc player, etc. Note: Some content, such as film-based movies, are available in extra-wide format. Top and bottom bars are unavoidable.
