Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best TV of 2010 I just purchased my VT25 from Magnolia. This is hands down the best overall TV I have ever owned. And I have owned a lot of TVs, including the Pioneer Elite Kuro PRO-111FD. If the Elite is an "A+" on 2D PQ, then the VT25 is an "A." Here's what the TV does well...everything but sound and up-conversion of a 480i signal. The sound is fine but relatively weak. And the image up-converter in the TV is just average. Get a good receiver and both of these points are moot, because you simply avoid the TVs short comings and allow the receiver to do that work for you. I recommend the Pioneer Elite VSX-33. Awesome bang for your buck at about $700. Now about the 3D. No it's not a gimmick, but it isn't the second coming either. At the price the VT25s are selling for now with a 3D blu-ray player and the 3D starter kit, you'd be crazy not to get one of these as 3D becomes more and more relevant. The 3D picture on the VT25 is best in market...period! No comparison. The LED 3D TVs have tons of cross talk and only a 720p picture. Which basically means they are washed out and fuzzy...and they are. Simply do a comparison in store and you will see for yourself. Yes, it is that obvious. As with all Plasmas...be careful of image retention especially during the first 100 hours of use. As the TV ages it becomes less and less of a concern. I have owned three Plasmas to date, and I have never had a burn in issue. If you aren't careful, it is possible. I am sure the TV war is going to get really interesting in the next few years, but if you are buying now, this is the one to get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV This is the best TV I have ever owned. Picture is great! Features are great. Works will with Netflix streaming video. Local weather feature is nice as well. The menues are easy to use and set up is was easy as well. Was a bit hesitant because you can get bigger TVs for the price, but not better quality for the price. Well worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best picture quality I have ever personally seen. Picked up a 54vt25 after much research and viewing at stores. Amazing picture quality after minor tweaking in THX mode. Great blacks. Watching movies in a dark room is spectacular! Have not watched much 3D, but the 3D that I have watched is very good. My two problems with this TV has been Image retention, and a slight buzz with screens that have a lot of white. I waited around 150 hrs before playing PS3 after break in slides and full screen TV, and the IR sensitivity is still bad. It takes several loops of the scrolling bars to lessen the images retained on the screen. I'm hoping the IR sensitivity improves greatly in the future, or else video gaming will be tough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV - With or Without 3D The only complaint is you can't convert 2d to 3D.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well done Panasonic From the time this T.V was first plugged in the picture quality has been like no other flat screen I have owned. The Boston Red Sox Game was like being in Fenway Park, but better, because close up shots of the players and plays were awesome. I predict that the LCD's, LEDs are going to be facing some real competition now. Well done!!

  • I can access other Apps on my TV, but cannot access Netflix. How can I fix this?
    Symptoms:
    • When the Netflix app is selected, the Netflix splash screen appears, then Netflix closes and returns to the VIERA Cast home screen, Network Services screen, or HOME screen.
    • When the Netflix app is selected, "Unable to Connect to Netflix. Please Try Again Later" is displayed
    • Netflix can be accessed, but when a title is selected, "Unable to Play This Title Right Now. Please Try Again Later" is displayed.
    • Netflix can be accessed, a title can be selected, but during playback the picture blanks out, buffers, or freezes frequently.

    Additional Information:
    • Network applications on Panasonic products are only accessible on networks with high speed internet access.

    Suggested Solution:
    • Power the Netflix ready device on and allow at least 90 seconds for it to connect to the network before performing a Connection Test.
    • Once the Connection Test has passed, attempt to open the Netflix application. If the Netflix application fails to open, manually change the Primary DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and the Secondary DNS to 8.8.4.4. If there is only one DNS setting available, change it to 8.8.8.8 (click here for a TV network troubleshooting tutorial.)
    • Once the DNS has been changed, perform another Connection Test.
    • Once the Connection Test has passed, attempt to open the Netflix application.
    • If none of your applications can be accessed, unplug the power cord of your modem or router for at least 10 seconds. This will reboot your modem or router.
    • If the Netflix application still fails to open, try another network application. If other applications function properly but Netflix does not click here for Netflix Help Center or call Netflix customer support at 1-866-716-0414.

  • The power light on the TV is on steady, but I do not have a picture, sound or both?
This could be caused by a few factors:

First check to ensure your TV is selected to the correct input (Source). If you are watching cable or satellite, following the cable from that device to the back of your TV.
If it is connected to antenna, HDMI 1/2/3, component or video you must also have the TV input select to match that connection. On the remote push the input button to check what source is selected on your TV.
Very important, you must ensure your cable box or satellite unit is turned on.
On some cable and satellite boxes, you may get audio with no picture if the box is turned off. If this does not resolve your issue, you may require service.
