TC-P50ST30 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great TV owned this for about 6 years and love it. I went with this TV for the black levels and have not been disappointed. I cant remark on the 3d because I don't use it but the 2d quality is great. Only knock I have is the wireless thing that came with it was not impressive so I have a Roku for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2011 P50ST30 I bought a 2011 P50ST30 at the end of December and I am very happy wih it 3 months later. There are times when the 2D picture has a 3D quality about that is awesome. The Audio for watching cable TV is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't ask for more. Easily the best bang for your buck. Picture quality is amazing. (E.G.: Avatar in 3D is hands down best picture quality I have ever seen hands down.) Once you calibrate this tv, it is second to none. This is my first panny and if they all have picture quality this good, I will never go to another company as features aren't above and beyond but that would only increase the price. Only negative comment would be that I have had several problems with my Viera Cast. It can never connect to my Wifi and when it does, it runs extremely slow. I don't know if it's my tv or viera cast in general. This isn't a big problem seeing that I would never use it anyway, but all other features work perfect. Overall I wanted the best picture quality offered within a reasonable price and this panny does just that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TV This is a great tv. The picture quality is fantastic. I recommend this television to anyone that will listen because you have not met true 3D tv until you have this set. This is the 3rd tv that I have from Panasonic and I have not been disappointed at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best just got better I purchased this TV mostly to play games on but I do watch cable and movies on it and so far the picture quality of the new plasma screens with the infinite 2 panel are just plain unreal. there is almost no glare like on plasmas of old. and the picture quality of this tv blows all others out of the water, the smooth images of the 600hz refresh rate just plain destroys any LCD or LED backlit screen on the market. If you are on the fence about LCD or Plasma, look no further this is by far the best quality TV I have ever seen. As for the reports of 'flickering' that is due to panasonic's C.A.T.S. system in all of their plasma TVs. All you need to do Is turn it off from the settings menu and manually change the brightness of your tv.

FAQs
  • What should I do if my TV will not turn on and the power indicator LED is not flashing?
    Follow these troubleshooting steps:
    • Make sure your TV's power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
    • Make sure the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into has power by testing known working device in that outlet.
    • After verifying the TV is plugged into a working outlet, try pressing the [POWER] button on the TV instead of the TV remote.
If the outlet is working and the TV will not turn on after pressing the [POWER] button on the TV, please consider having the unit serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.
  • What should I do if the front Power indicator LED light is blinking?
    1. Unplug the TV's power cord.
    2. Unplug all cables.
    3. Power the TV using a different power outlet (do not use a power strip or surge protector).

If the problem persists, please consider having the TV serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.

Note: Count how many times the LED light blinks. This can help a technician troubleshoot the problem.
  • What should I do if I can access all of the TV apps except Netflix?
    1. Change the DNS setting of your TV to 8.8.8.8.
    2. If you are able to access the Netflix splash screen, use the TV remote to deactivate your account by pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up. After this process, try loggin back into the Netflix TV app.

If the procedure is successful a screen will come up with the option to deactivate your device from your account. If not try the process again. Once you have successfully deactivated your device, you will need to activate it by opening Netflix and at the main screen selecting Member Sign In, then following the on screen prompts until activation is complete.

If the Netflix app still fails to open, but all of the other TV apps work, visit help.netflix.com for more support.

  • What should I do if I have bars displaying on the TV screen?
Change the format (aspect ratio) of the picture by pressing the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the TV's remote control. If you still have bars, check the aspect settings on your external video source, such as Cable/Satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray Disc player, etc. Note: Some content, such as film-based movies, are available in extra-wide format. Top and bottom bars are unavoidable.
