TC-P50GT50 is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great purchase This product is easy to use and has one of the clearest pictures we've seen in many of the other televisions we have used in the past. It is better than our Vizio. We would definitely recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy I was looking for a TV and i wanted a Plasma because of the 600Hz for gaming. I saw Panasonic and knew they where the people to go to for Plasma. So I made the purchase and never looked back

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best 50" Panasonic Plasma Ever Built This was a replacement of a 47" Panasonic TC-L47E50. If you own this 47" led then you might have a problem with lines going from top to bottom that are 2 or three inches apart. And they look like bars.I have owned the TC-P50GT50 tv since April 2013 and it works perfectly as day one. This has to be the best tv that Panasonic has made in 2012 or ever. I don't know what to list and tell you about first. The picture is better than amazing and so are the 8 train speakers w/subwoofer. And all of the other features are wicked awesome as well. If you can still find one, and I bet you can get a great deal on the price then go out and buy it. You can't go wrong with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST PLASMA ON THE MARKET! Purchased my Panasonic TC-P50GT50 and loved it right out of the box! Super great colors with deep blacks and a sleek design along with a faster computer processor for wireless entertainment. Paid a little extra to get the TC-P50GT50 for the THX viewing mode and love it! The sound from this television isn’t the best, but then that seems to be universal for all plasma/LCD/LED televisions. I went ahead and hooked up my plasma to a Panasonic sound system (SC-HTB350) and it’s perfect for my man cave. However, as much as I love my TC-P50GT50, BE WARNED… SOME OF THESE PANASONICS SUFFER FROM A BUZZING NOISE PROBLEM. I had read prior reviews regarding the problem before purchasing my TC-P50GT50, but figured it wasn’t a major problem. Well, within a few hours of turning on my TC-P50GT50, I detected a buzzing noise that was more noticeable than my other Panasonic plasma (TC-46PGT24). I also noticed the buzzing noise got louder the brighter the screen got. I immediately called Panasonic’s customer service and they promptly scheduled a repair technician to come out and inspect the television without any hassles whatsoever. Within three business days a technician was at my home and ultimately determined the main motherboard was malfunctioning. Five business days later, the technician was back at my house replacing the motherboard with a new one. Now, my TC-P50GT50 works beautifully without the annoying buzzing noise. Overall, great support from Panasonic’s customer service and warranty department.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 50GT50 plasma Met all my expectations. Great blacks, colors, and sharpness. Very life like picture. Good on tv hd movies and blu-ray is superb. It is 3D and looks as good if not better that Imax 3 D. Glassed Ok but cost too much. Should only be about $40. I woud not trade it for any other TV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy it......! This is my 2nd Panasonic Plasma TV. My 1st 3D. Very happy with my buy. Great picture, easy to setup. Will up scale veiwing to 3D. Did not come with 3D glasses, but bought 2 pairs that are 100% better than the free ones from other brands. Great value

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am really amazed by this unit! I have nothing at all to say about this unit but awesome. Easy networking and straming of Netflix. Awesome picture quality in both 3D and normal. No distortion or pixilation with fast movements like I have seen in other units. Every day I like this unit more and more. This is one fun, very smart, very cool video unit! It is a disservice to call it a TV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TC-P50GT50 The first plasma I ever purchased. The picture quality is excellent with HDTV Programs and even better with blu ray. This replaced a 47 inch LCD. The plasma picture quality is by far better than the LCD. The smart features on the Panasonic are a plus. I also purchased the Panasonic 3D Blu Ray BD-320 to go with the tv. The remote takes some getting use to on the Blu Ray. Overall both of the Panasonic products perform great.

  • I can access other Apps on my TV, but cannot access Netflix. How can I fix this?
    Symptoms:
    • When the Netflix app is selected, the Netflix splash screen appears, then Netflix closes and returns to the VIERA Cast home screen, Network Services screen, or HOME screen.
    • When the Netflix app is selected, "Unable to Connect to Netflix. Please Try Again Later" is displayed
    • Netflix can be accessed, but when a title is selected, "Unable to Play This Title Right Now. Please Try Again Later" is displayed.
    • Netflix can be accessed, a title can be selected, but during playback the picture blanks out, buffers, or freezes frequently.

    Additional Information:
    • Network applications on Panasonic products are only accessible on networks with high speed internet access.

    Suggested Solution:
    • Power the Netflix ready device on and allow at least 90 seconds for it to connect to the network before performing a Connection Test.
    • Once the Connection Test has passed, attempt to open the Netflix application. If the Netflix application fails to open, manually change the Primary DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and the Secondary DNS to 8.8.4.4. If there is only one DNS setting available, change it to 8.8.8.8 (click here for a TV network troubleshooting tutorial.)
    • Once the DNS has been changed, perform another Connection Test.
    • Once the Connection Test has passed, attempt to open the Netflix application.
    • If none of your applications can be accessed, unplug the power cord of your modem or router for at least 10 seconds. This will reboot your modem or router.
    • If the Netflix application still fails to open, try another network application. If other applications function properly but Netflix does not click here for Netflix Help Center or call Netflix customer support at 1-866-716-0414.

  • The power light on the TV is on steady, but I do not have a picture, sound or both?
This could be caused by a few factors:

First check to ensure your TV is selected to the correct input (Source). If you are watching cable or satellite, following the cable from that device to the back of your TV.
If it is connected to antenna, HDMI 1/2/3, component or video you must also have the TV input select to match that connection. On the remote push the input button to check what source is selected on your TV.
Very important, you must ensure your cable box or satellite unit is turned on.
On some cable and satellite boxes, you may get audio with no picture if the box is turned off. If this does not resolve your issue, you may require service.
