TC-P50GT30 is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tv I love this tv. I also have a 55 inch ST50, and I'm happy to say that the picture is better on this one. This is the 6th tv I have in my home, so I know a good one from a bad one. I couldn't ask for more in a Plasma (without going o the V series).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expectation-Shattering Value Straight out of the box, this TV performs well across everything I've thrown at it. The picture is crisp, yet color gradation is superb. THX mode makes everything better. When I was purchasing this TV, I overheard one customer extolling the picture quality of the Vivid setting. I laughed to myself and told the salesperson to sell him an LED. Thank you, Panasonic for this magnificent machine. I hope to enjoy this set for many years to come!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 48Hz Flicker I have owned the 50gt30 for the past 3 weeks. The picture quality is amazing and black levels as well as white levels are good. Colors are stunning and the menus provide an easy setup as well as good apps in viera link. The built quality of the set is robust in every way shape or form. While this set is very nice, I have been trying to ignore one problem that I have noticed while using the 48Hz setting to watch movies which has been mentioned everywhere online and can not look beyond the problem. Flickering is very difficult to ignore as it damages the quality of HD video during or watching movies. I have look around to see if the problem has been addressed by panasonic, but have found nothing to that effect. I have come to the conclusion that while there are a lot of good things with this set I feel that to me the quality of the picture means a lot, after all that is the reason I myself decided to buy the new technology. I have been in the field of electronics as an engineering tech for over 30 years and I understand that not set will be identical based on components as may fail right out of the box to failures down the line that no one can stop during or after manufacturing. While this true in all electronic devices, I have also participated in the problem solving of many electronic devices and unless there is a bad irreparable problem like in this instance the screen that most of the other problems can be resolve, but I have yet to see any resolution to this problem. So I decided to return the item this weekend as much as I enjoy this plasma tv because I can really enjoy the set by trying to ignore a problem that I myself can ignore the minute I turn it on to enjoy HD quality video. Sorry for my long review and I hope panasonic takes action towards resolving this problem before more people come to the same conclusion I have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from one of the best tvs on the market great tv been looking for three month before i decided on the g-series plasma. THX mode give a stunning picture right out of the box. great viewing angles and darker blacks makes this tv worth every penny. wireless, full 3d hd. does not come with 3d glasses, and panasonic glasses are some of the most expentive out there. could use a better remote for search on viera connect. overall better than 90% of tv out there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great TV exceeded expectation Slimmer and lighter than what I expected in plasma TV. Metallic finish on the edges give nice look. Out of box settings and colors are good I did not find any fluctuation it is quieter Even after running for hours it produced very less heat. Less screen reflection with better viewing angle. But only few popular apps some lack content hard to do all operations and search with remote control. Iphone remote control app has reduce some burden.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Entertainment Center We Have Purchased This TV has the highest quality picture that I have seen in any brand. Although we have not yet used the TV for 3D movies, the electronics built into the set create the best 2D. With HDMI cables it coordinates well with our receiver, Panasonic Blu-Ray player, and set top box. The menus are intuitive for the most part and updating is easy. Because the set can accomplish so much, the instruction manual is extensive and in a few instances requires some paging back-and-forth to understand a procedure.

    • Make sure your TV's power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
    • Make sure the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into has power by testing known working device in that outlet.
    • After verifying the TV is plugged into a working outlet, try pressing the [POWER] button on the TV instead of the TV remote.

  • What should I do if the front Power indicator LED light is blinking?
    1. Unplug the TV's power cord.

    3. Power the TV using a different power outlet (do not use a power strip or surge protector).

  • What should I do if I can access all of the TV apps except Netflix?
    1. Change the DNS setting of your TV to
    2. If you are able to access the Netflix splash screen, use the TV remote to deactivate your account by pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up. After this process, try loggin back into the Netflix TV app.

If the procedure is successful a screen will come up with the option to deactivate your device from your account. If not try the process again. If the Netflix app still fails to open, but all of the other TV apps work, visit for more support.

  • What should I do if I have bars displaying on the TV screen?
Change the format (aspect ratio) of the picture by pressing the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the TV's remote control. If you still have bars, check the aspect settings on your external video source, such as Cable/Satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray Disc player, etc. Note: Some content, such as film-based movies, are available in extra-wide format. Top and bottom bars are unavoidable.
