Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY It's old news now, but these tvs have a firmware problem where the black levels are adjusted too rapidly over time. In turn, this tv does not perform as advertised, I've had mine for 7 months and have watched the picture quality go from amazing to horrendous because of the black level getting brighter. This applies to all g10 and g15 models as far as I'm aware. Burn in has also been a huge problem with my particular set, as well as a rattle coming from the speakers if the volume is turned up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best TV EVER I love this tv. It is so nice and has the best features. I looked at other brands, but by far the panasonice 50g15 had best picture and color . We even paired it with a panasonic home theather. It took our home tv entertainment to a new level. I would recommened this t.v. to everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME!!! This TV has great colors and stunning detail. In a temporary set up right now, so I am unable to use the Vera-cast feature but the concept looks cool. I watch Star Trek on Blu-ray via my PS3 last night and it looked even better on this TV then it did in the theaters. That’s no joke. Even my wife could believe how stunning it looked it even got her to watch the entire movie with me. The richness of the black is amazing. I am so happy with this purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great HD This is simply a great TV for HD. Personally I would not recommend this TV if someone is primarily watching SD TV. I think the SD picture is fair to good. But if you primarily watch HD TV you will be floored by the picture. Blue Ray movies are incredible. It is gorgeous too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV After battling with myself over the decision to go with Plasma or LCD, and doing ample amounts of research, I finally decided on the TC-P50G15. This television rivals any television on the market aside from the beloved Pioneer Kuro in black levels, which in turn makes the colors "pop" on this television. I decided on this over the S1 series due to the internet connectivity and the THX certified display, both of which I have found to be great upgrade features. The THX gets reviews around the internet that claim it's too dark, but if you use it for its intended purpose and watch movies as the director intended them to look (i.e. in the dark movie theater), if you turn your lights off and watch it is really magnificent. The other nice feature of this television with the internet connectivity is that it automatically updates the firmware each time new updates are released. This essentially "future-proofs" the tv to ensure all upgrades are done timely. I combined this purchase with a sc-bt200 home theater system and the blu-ray movies look almost too real! The picture settings come out of the box looking great, and I would say unless you are a real videophile you will not need to spend the extra $ to get a professional calibration done. My recommendation is to buy this television, it is big and full of features and you will not be disappointed when you pull it out of the box and start viewing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV I don't know anything about HD TV and not that much about the difference between Plasma or LCD. On the recommendation of the sales man we chose the G15 Plasma. On the whole we like the TV the TV speakers leave a lot to be desired so we use our surround sound system for the audio and turn down the TV volume. We are having a small problem with the TV saying it is displaying 480 when the Satellite says 1080. The picture looks good, hopefully the satellite dealer can correct that problem.

  • What should I do if my TV will not turn on and the power indicator LED is not flashing?
    Follow these troubleshooting steps:
    • Make sure your TV's power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
    • Make sure the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into has power by testing known working device in that outlet.
    • After verifying the TV is plugged into a working outlet, try pressing the [POWER] button on the TV instead of the TV remote.
    If the outlet is working and the TV will not turn on after pressing the [POWER] button on the TV, please consider having the unit serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.
  • What should I do if the front Power indicator LED light is blinking?
    1. Unplug the TV's power cord.
    2. Unplug all cables.
    3. Power the TV using a different power outlet (do not use a power strip or surge protector).

    Note: Count how many times the LED light blinks. This can help a technician troubleshoot the problem.
  • What should I do if I can access all of the TV apps except Netflix?
    1. Change the DNS setting of your TV to 8.8.8.8.
    2. If you are able to access the Netflix splash screen, use the TV remote to deactivate your account by pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up. After this process, try loggin back into the Netflix TV app.

    If the procedure is successful a screen will come up with the option to deactivate your device from your account. If not try the process again. Once you have successfully deactivated your device, you will need to activate it by opening Netflix and at the main screen selecting Member Sign In, then following the on screen prompts until activation is complete.

    If the Netflix app still fails to open, but all of the other TV apps work, visit help.netflix.com for more support.

  • What should I do if I have bars displaying on the TV screen?
    Change the format (aspect ratio) of the picture by pressing the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the TV's remote control. If you still have bars, check the aspect settings on your external video source, such as Cable/Satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray Disc player, etc. Note: Some content, such as film-based movies, are available in extra-wide format. Top and bottom bars are unavoidable.
