TC-L55WT50 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW! I went into the store expecting to spend a little less money on a Television than I did with this set, however, after seeing the tv and having a very helpful salesman show me the differences between this set and others I found this TV to far exceed expectations to price. I'd call in a best buy of the year. The thing that really grabbed my attention was the deep black levels and off angle viewing for an LED. ANY other led that I looked at lost color on angles and none could compete with the dark levels. The benefit from 120hz to a 240hz was amazing as I did not truly know the difference until seeing it for myself. I've used the netflix app, its easy to use. Web was easy to set up. Did not come with 3d glasses and Panasonics 3d glasses are a bit pricy compared to others, but that only makes this set better as it is universal with active glasses. Pros: Picture Quality Price/performance Angled viewing Simple to use far exceeded expectations Cons: no glasses come with (found active glasses from a name brand for $20.00, work great)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV Great Picture & 3D. Great looking TV and looks small for a 55 due to the really thin bezel. Can be view at any angle. The sound is really good for a thin panel. Great price on B Friday. Setup is easy and network connections both Wireless and wired are simple to setup and work great. Menus are easy to navigate and the first firmware update was easy. Web and Apps work great. Skype works great with the Panasonics TY-CC20W Camera, which attaches easy and looks like it is part of the TV. If you want to use Skype this is the camera for this TV. Netflix works great as dose the weather app and many of the others. Lots of apps out there already for this TV. Web browser is good and pretty fast can save favorites and access them quickly. Scrolling is a little jumpy. I do hope they have a firmware update to make the Web browser even better and faster plus add more browsing add-ons and let you manipulate your favorites with more ease. If it gets much better this will be adequate for most people to surf the web as long as no one else in the house wants to watch TV or play Games. Print divers would be nice. PS and Xbox look brilliant on this TV PS in particular. 3D gaming takes some getting use to but works great. Blue ray movies look fantastic and HD TV looks great. Thanks fully any HD 3D RF glasses work, wish one pair were included with TV + Panasonics glasses are pricey but others are out there for $20. The 2nd touch pad remote works fine but would have preferred a very small keyboard with a touch pad on it like the FAVI Mini Bluetooth Keyboard which I tried but didn’t fully work (any chance of a firmware upgrade or getting them to make on for the TV?). This in my 4th flat TV, by far the best and the feature rich.of a firmware upgrade or getting them to make on for the TV?). This in my 4th flat TV, by far the best and the feature rich.

FAQs
  • What should I do if my TV will not turn on and the power indicator LED is not flashing?
    Follow these troubleshooting steps:
    • Make sure your TV's power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
    • Make sure the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into has power by testing known working device in that outlet.
    • After verifying the TV is plugged into a working outlet, try pressing the [POWER] button on the TV instead of the TV remote.
If the outlet is working and the TV will not turn on after pressing the [POWER] button on the TV, please consider having the unit serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.
  • What should I do if the front Power indicator LED light is blinking?
    1. Unplug the TV's power cord.
    2. Unplug all cables.
    3. Power the TV using a different power outlet (do not use a power strip or surge protector).

If the problem persists, please consider having the TV serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.

Note: Count how many times the LED light blinks. This can help a technician troubleshoot the problem.
  • What should I do if I can access all of the TV apps except Netflix?
    1. Change the DNS setting of your TV to 8.8.8.8.
    2. If you are able to access the Netflix splash screen, use the TV remote to deactivate your account by pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up. After this process, try loggin back into the Netflix TV app.

If the procedure is successful a screen will come up with the option to deactivate your device from your account. If not try the process again. Once you have successfully deactivated your device, you will need to activate it by opening Netflix and at the main screen selecting Member Sign In, then following the on screen prompts until activation is complete.

If the Netflix app still fails to open, but all of the other TV apps work, visit help.netflix.com for more support.

  • What should I do if I have bars displaying on the TV screen?
Change the format (aspect ratio) of the picture by pressing the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the TV's remote control. If you still have bars, check the aspect settings on your external video source, such as Cable/Satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray Disc player, etc. Note: Some content, such as film-based movies, are available in extra-wide format. Top and bottom bars are unavoidable.
