TC-L42U25 is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good bang for the buck, but..... We've owned this TV for 7 months now. Here are a few things I've noticed. PROS - Price - Excellent sound quality - Great picture for DVD quality movies and 1080 broadcasts. CONS - Motion jitter when watching older film shot movies (480p). - No detailed description of broadcast TV programs. Just the title. Our other TV gives a nice description. - Can't get firmware update to work. - Only audio output is optical. Older amps don't have that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had no idea This was my first attempt at purchasing a LCD TV. I had a Panasonic 25" TV when I was 13. I remember loving the sound and picture. Fast forward 24 years later I wanted the same effect. I looked all over other brands appealed but I didn'tget that HA AH Thats's It! This TV gave me that reaction as I looked around. I've had it a little under a year. I have not had any problem with it, it's user friendly and easy to learn. I reccommended this TV a good friends they are proud owners as well. You'll be as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from sharp, crisp, clean I got this just after the 2011 superbowl. Wife objected to the purchase. Now she wants one in the bedroom. We both love the picture. Sound is better than expected (but is best with the surround sound system). Laptop interface is confusing (for Skyping), but manageable after fiddling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Genuine review I got this TV for very good price. I mostly use it for gaming and i am completely satisfied with it. However there are some minor drawbacks which should have been rectified. Takes lot of time to display the picture once you turn on the TV, Audio is low and in fast moving sequences there is blur on edges.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 120Hz ? I thought 120Hz was not suppose to have a burr effect ? Well this TV does around the edges of objects in motion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV I've had this TV since June and I love it. The picture is beautiful. Everything I watch from movies to sports to cable is simply crystal clear. I know there are a lot of choices out there and the research can be exhausting, but if you want a simple to use, great looking set with a beautiful picture than allow me to suggest this TV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great integration with Panasonic stereo, great picture, sports and Blu-ray look fantastic. Just wish the contrast was higher,50,000 should be minimum, think it might have made this The best TV in it's price range. Great buy

FAQs
  • What should I do if my TV will not turn on and the power indicator LED is not flashing?
    Follow these troubleshooting steps:
    • Make sure your TV's power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
    • Make sure the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into has power by testing known working device in that outlet.
    • After verifying the TV is plugged into a working outlet, try pressing the [POWER] button on the TV instead of the TV remote.
If the outlet is working and the TV will not turn on after pressing the [POWER] button on the TV, please consider having the unit serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.
  • What should I do if the front Power indicator LED light is blinking?
    1. Unplug the TV's power cord.
    2. Unplug all cables.
    3. Power the TV using a different power outlet (do not use a power strip or surge protector).

If the problem persists, consider having the TV serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.

Note: Count how many times the LED light blinks. This can help a technician troubleshoot the problem.
  • What should I do if I get audio but no picture from an external device connected to my TV?
    • Try unplugging the cable between the TV and the external device and reconnecting it firmly on both sides.
    • Try unplugging the power cord of the external device for 30 seconds.
    • Try connecting another external device to the same input using the same cable.
    • If the picture returns on the second device, you may need to contact the manufacturer of the first external device you had connected for further troubleshooting.
    • Try using a different cable between your device and the TV using the same input of your TV. If you get a picture and audio, you may need to replace your cable.
    • Try another input of the TV to verify if there is an issue with the TV input the external device was connected to.
  • What should I do if I have bars displaying on the TV screen?
Change the format (aspect ratio) of the picture by pressing the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the TV's remote control. If you still have bars, check the aspect settings on your external video source, such as Cable/Satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray Disc player, etc. Note: Some content, such as film-based movies, are available in extra-wide format. Top and bottom bars are unavoidable.
