Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent choice This TV was so easy to set up. The Smart programming found my wifi right away and the instructions to follow came right from the TV. The picture is excellent, it looks close to 3D, seems as if the actors are in the room with me. Very easy to use, sound is great, the stand is easy to set up. Low profile TV, beautiful. Has all the wifi apps I like, Amazon, VUDU, Netflix and more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning Disclaimer: I don't use the "smart" features at all, I'm just reviewing the tv performance as a display. This purchase replaced a tube HDTV and, wow, what a difference! Great colors, minimal motion blur, and a good viewing angle. A huge plus for us is the matte finish on the screen cuts down the glare from lights and windows to point that we really don't even see it. Regular tv broadcasts look great as does our blu-ray. Hard to be happier with a tv.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from DO NOT BE FOOLED - READ THE LAST PARAGRAPH (SPECS) I made the biggest mistake to not fully read the specifications. This TV does not allow you to use flash player independently. They embed the flash in their youtube app. If you are browsing the net, you cannot watch live streams through the browser which I thought that was the main purpose of the internet TV. ...I cannot stream from my laptop to the TV via wireless means. It is just a simple HD TV....there is nothing extra in the internet app. I wasted my money. Who wants to write emails on a TV remote keyboard???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Panasonic TVs I ordered this TV direct from Panasonic, specifically to fit a built in space. I've purchased 2 other Panasonic TV's and a couple of DVD Players in the past and was willing to take a chance, sight unseen. Product arrived in a timely manner in perfect condition. Previously, I purchased a competitor's 40" version and returned it a few weeks later. I wasn't happy with the picture quality and limited viewing angle I've had the 42" E60 over a month and am very happy with the picture quality, which is, in my opinion, the #1 criteria when evaluating a TV. The thin bezel looks great, with the screen maximizing the available space. Motion handling is very good along with preferences to suit your individual taste. Sound is fine for everyday listening. I have the TV connected to a receiver for movies, etc. WiFi set-up was easy. I don't really use the Smart Features, so I can't comment other than the browser does not include Flash. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with this LED TV (full LED, not just edge lit). I also have a Panasonic Plasma (VT Series) and love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from JUST DO IT I wanted a smart LED TV for a while and I'm glad I went for it. I had another big name flat TV (LCD), which is in my BR now and I still love it. But my new Viera is quite amazing. First, with regard to the classic question -- plasma, LCD or LED? -- I went to stores and asked the in-store "specialists" what kind of TV was the best, I got the typical long-winded analysis every time: "Well the advantages to plasma are abc... whereas the LCD is good because xyz... then LED..." blah blah blah. The only answer to the "which techology is best -- LCD, LED or Plasma is: LED HAS THE BEST PICTURE QUALITY, HANDS DOWN, NO QUESTION!! Just get an LED TV. The picture quality of my new Viera is unreal. It's almost like 3D without the glasses. It's practically disturbing and it's an entirely new viewing experience (was for me). This television is physically thin, lightweight, and with a 42" screen, replaced a 40" LCD TV, which is 3 years old. Physically, the TV set itself is smaller than the older 40" LCD even though the viewable screen is 2" bigger. Setup is easy and with the included apps (which are also easy to set up), after spending another $60 for a high-gain antenna, I'm eliminating cable TV. There are things I miss about cable for sure, but you gain more than saving $150/month payable to Cable Rip-Off Company USA. You get tons of content from Netflix, Hulu+Plus, and Amazon (get Prime for more unlimited content, as well as all the same on Demand movies you have on cable). I cannot overemphasize the picture quality. The speakers even do a good job (however I'd suggest connecting the audio to a more powerful sound system) but the TVs audio is very good nonetheless. The only criticism I have is that the digital audio is *not* controlled by the Volume control. So while hooked into my stereo, I need to operate volume control (on TV and stereo) separately. Plus, the TV only has digital output -- no analog cables, unfortunately. So I had to buy a digital converter. There is a slight audio lag with *some* streaming shows and movies. I am a tech kinda guy and I have been fiddling with the settings and there is no volume control for the digital audio output -- period. Not the end of the world but while watching Netflix, for every movie I need to check the audio output and set it to Stereo (as opposed to the default, Dolby 5.1). If not, the audio comes out of the TV only. Set it to stereo and the audio is routed out of the auxiliary sound system. I wish the sound would get routed through both and controlled by the Volume. I hope our friends at Panasonic hear this and put out a firmware patch! There is also an remote control app (for iPhone and Android) that could not be easier to set up. It is extremely well designed and makes input (especially app setup, which requires email and password) even easier. It works flawlessly and is extremely intuitive. It's like having a second remote with even more features. At any rate, get an LED and definitely consider this model. You'll love it more than you think and by eliminating cable, you will have paid for your beautiful new television in about 5 months!

  • What should I do if my TV will not turn on and the power indicator LED is not flashing?
    Follow these troubleshooting steps:
    • Make sure your TV's power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
    • Make sure the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into has power by testing known working device in that outlet.
    • After verifying the TV is plugged into a working outlet, try pressing the [POWER] button on the TV instead of the TV remote.
    If the outlet is working and the TV will not turn on after pressing the [POWER] button on the TV, please consider having the unit serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.
  • What should I do if the front Power indicator LED light is blinking?
    1. Unplug the TV's power cord.
    2. Unplug all cables.
    3. Power the TV using a different power outlet (do not use a power strip or surge protector).

    Note: Count how many times the LED light blinks. This can help a technician troubleshoot the problem.
  • What should I do if I can access all of the TV apps except Netflix?
    1. Change the DNS setting of your TV to
    2. If you are able to access the Netflix splash screen, use the TV remote to deactivate your account by pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up. After this process, try loggin back into the Netflix TV app.

    If the procedure is successful a screen will come up with the option to deactivate your device from your account. If not try the process again. Once you have successfully deactivated your device, you will need to activate it by opening Netflix and at the main screen selecting Member Sign In, then following the on screen prompts until activation is complete.

    If the Netflix app still fails to open, but all of the other TV apps work, visit help.netflix.com for more support.

  • What should I do if I have bars displaying on the TV screen?
    Change the format (aspect ratio) of the picture by pressing the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the TV's remote control. If you still have bars, check the aspect settings on your external video source, such as Cable/Satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray Disc player, etc. Note: Some content, such as film-based movies, are available in extra-wide format. Top and bottom bars are unavoidable.
