  • Why does my CX850 series TV not display High Dynamic Range (HDR) content?
    HDR content will only be displayed if an HDR capable device is connected to one of the HDR enabled HDMI ports of the TV using a HDMI 2.0 or higher HDMI cable. The apps of the TV will not display HDR content on the TV at this time. You must also make sure that your TV firmware has been updated with the HDR firmware (Part1 & 2) to add this ability to your TV.

  • Where can I find the High Dynamic Range (HDR) settings of my CX850 series TV?
    Follow these steps:

    1. Press the [MENU] button on the TV remote.
    2. Select the SETUP menu and press [OK].
    3. Select the HDMI menu and press [OK].
    4. Select the HDMI HDR setting menu and press [OK].
    5. Set HDMI1/2/3 to ON or OFF to enable or disable the HDR ability of that port.

    Note: HDR content will only be displayed if a HDR capable device is connected to one of the HDR enabled ports of the TV using a HDMI 2.0 or higher HDMI cable.

    HDMI 2.0 or higher is required to transmit HDR content.

  • How do I add the High Dynamic Range (HDR) feature to my CX850 series TV to allow HDR content to be displayed on my TV?
    You will need to update the firmware of your TV using HDR Firmware Update Part 1 & 2 available at www.panasonic.com/support. Once at the site enter your model number and navigate to firmware.
