TC-55CX850U is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from TC-55CX850U This TV has a great picture, after you set it to your specs, even the 3D is great. No blur that I can see, as far as picture, it great. But it freezes up on apps, have to turn off and turn back on TV. Just to turn on the app you want like Amazon. Push the button and nothing happens. Not all the time but it should not happen at all. My WiFi is 144gbps. As of the price at $3499.99 NO WAY, their are better TV out there for that price. But I paid $1499.99 on sale and for that price its great, and I love it. CONS- Freezes up on apps and the shipping took for ever, 20 days to get it. Panasonic, support sucks, but so do all of them. LG, Samsung, Sony, have them all and all of them the supports sucks. Once you buy their items they don't care, they tell you to return it to store or if you can't, too bad for you. Even under their 1 year warr. Buy a extended warr. Let me just say I love Panasonic, they have a good track record, with me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV! No disappointments! Very satisfied..... Review for CX850 Series TC-55CX850U I purchased directly from Panasonic just before Thanksgiving with a great promotional discount. After reading several reviews for comparable models, I singled this one out as the best size for me with the high quality features i wanted. I do video editing and DVD production using systems with full color correction of the cameras and computer monitors. I wanted a model that would assure my clients their color and quality in the productions were very good. Because of the holiday the unit didn't arrive until Dec 6. I came by truck from California. There was no damage. The unit was very easy to unpack and setup. No firmware update was needed. So many features, it took me a while to check them all out even though I had a good idea about everything. The helps are good but brief. I did check out the website for more detailed information. The main remote is played out well and provides access to most features quickly. I have not become very attached to the smaller touch remote. That's because I love the iPhone TV Remote 2!. That is amazing! Much more capability that a hardware remote. It makes using the apps and browser so easy. I like that I can live stream content from my phone to the TV! Haven't had time to check out all the apps yet but have no doubts that my expectations will be met.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent replacement for my Panasonic Plasma I was very disappointed when Panasonic decided to stop producing their Plasma TV's. I have owned multiple Panasonic Plasma models over the past 10 years, with the most recent one being the VT50. The VT50 was by far the best TV I had ever owned up to now. I was very weary that a non-plasma TV would be able to satisfy my needs, especially in regards to the fast motion in many movies and video games. Few TV's I have owned or tested were able to compete with my VT50 when it came to motion smoothness. I am still putting it through its paces, but so far this TV has surpassed my expectations. The color and clarity is quite impressive, and the motion has been quite good. Thus far I am very satisfied with this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Purchase Decision Ever! Years ago I owned a 55" Panasonic Plasma TV that was both heavy and hot and a picture that was fantastic. That comparison pales next to the TC CX850U system. DVD's look like Blu-ray and Blu-ray movies are like being there. The only concern was USB detection but was fixed by the firmware update. The Internet setup to do that was simple, and fast. This TV combined with Bose speakers, Onkyo receiver, and high end cables is fantastic! And it combines well with the T460 model 4K Blu-ray player. I recommend it. The player enables a HDMI (1) to TV and HDMI ARC (2) (set to audio only) to the receiver... which I highly recommend. Lastly Internet HD video is greatly improved on this system. Deep color, backlighting, and beautifully rendered pictures cannot be beat!!! Get it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent TV Excellent Contrast Ratio, extremely crisp and clear ...vibrant colors. I've never seen a better black in an LED backlit display. The Speakers, to me, sound a bit tinny, but definitely work without a receiver pass thru. Extremely good viewing angles. Oh, the conversion up is quite impressive...the picture quality just can't be beat. You won't be unhappy with this Panasonic.

    Follow these troubleshooting steps:
    • Make sure your TV's power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
    • Make sure the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into has power by testing known working device in that outlet.
    • After verifying the TV is plugged into a working outlet, try pressing the [POWER] button on the TV instead of the TV remote.
If the outlet is working and the TV will not turn on after pressing the [POWER] button on the TV, please consider having the unit serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.
  • What should I do if the front Power indicator LED light is blinking?
    1. Unplug the TV's power cord.
    2. Unplug all cables.
    3. Power the TV using a different power outlet (do not use a power strip or surge protector).

If the problem persists, please consider having the TV serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.

  • What should I do if I can access all of the TV apps except Netflix?

    2. If you are able to access the Netflix splash screen, use the TV remote to deactivate your account by pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up. After this process, try loggin back into the Netflix TV app.

If the procedure is successful a screen will come up with the option to deactivate your device from your account. If not try the process again. Once you have successfully deactivated your device, you will need to activate it by opening Netflix and at the main screen selecting Member Sign In, then following the on screen prompts until activation is complete.

If the Netflix app still fails to open, but all of the other TV apps work, visit help.netflix.com for more support.

  • What should I do if I have bars displaying on the TV screen?
Change the format (aspect ratio) of the picture by pressing the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the TV's remote control. If you still have bars, check the aspect settings on your external video source, such as Cable/Satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray Disc player, etc. Note: Some content, such as film-based movies, are available in extra-wide format.
