Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was misled .... ..significantly on a feature. The INFINITE BLACK was/is said to be better at eliminating reflections in plasma display. The S64 was said to be home to this feature. Finding an S64 was very, very hard and I paid a dealer premium price because of the rarity. On the price and the INFINITE feature I feel taken. The S64 was to replace a 6+ year old Viera plasma in my living room. The room lamp I was trying to defeat is defeating INFINITE. Its not a bright lamp at all and the room overall is low light /no window glare. The 6 year old VIERA is identical in ability to overcome reflections in display in same location. AFTER 6 YEARS. I mostly like this plasma set BUT had I bought it locally it would be going back. Did you read that Panasonic?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value, great picture, rock solid choice. I would first like to say that this Plasma TV is my first. I've owned LCD's and LED's over the last 8 years. I've always wanted a plasma, but just didn't pull the trigger because I was used to bright displays. After doing considerable research and realizing that my space was ideal for a plasma ( low lit room ), I finally bit and Im glad I did. Yes it took a few days or a few weeks to get used to the picture which is not nearly as bright as most LCD's and LED's. But I quickly realized that bright, vivid, oversaturated color's dont mean a great picture. Whe you calibrate this plasma TV, after 150 to 200 hours of break in time, I challenge anyone to not admit that a well calibrated S64 plasma TV in a well suited room with low light or no light are not the most natural, deep and rich colors you can find. As a huge fan of movie watching with a huge Blu-Ray collection, when this baby is set up right and the lighting is controlled, be ready for the best viewing experience you will ever have. I used to be one of those people that thought bright, ultra colorful LED's on showroom florrs meant better. Well not anymore.........talk about natural, deep black, realistic, smooth action, plasma is just that. This TV was a steal, purchased from Costco at less than half the price of the LED is was looking at. I have no need for 3D, so this TV with its Infinate Black panal was a homerun. Best purchase I've made on a 1080P period. Watch Avatar/Ironman 1-3/Blade Runner/ 2001 A Space Odyssey/ Lawrence of Arabia/ Rear Window/ Vertigo/ Ben Hur/ Taxi Driver/ Alien or Aliens/ Gone With The Wind/ The Godfather 1 or2 / Batman Dark Knight 1,2,3/ Easy Rider/ Avengers, Chinatown/ Saving Private Ryan/ The Thin Red Line/ Casablanca/ Raging Bull/ Wizard of Oz/ The Bridge on the River Kwai to name a few. With a good quality Blu-Ray player and an HDMI cable, your gonna be really happy seeing great movies all over again for the first time. Im dead serious.......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Picture, Great Price I recently purchased the S64 from Costco and I am very satisfied with my purchase. In store, the LED TV's are much brighter, but the plasma TV's provide a much more realistic picture with deeper blacks. Pros: Picture Quality (highly adjustable through advanced menu) Infinite black - works well in bright rooms Internet connectivity for most common apps (Netflix, Hulu, Cinema Now, Amazon, VUDU, You Tube) Price - Exceptional value for a TV of this quality Cons: Sound Quality - The speakers are not of the same quality as older Panasonic plasma TV's. Most likely, due to the smaller footprint of the sets. A soundbar is needed for this TV.
