Reviews

TC-50AS650UE is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible picture quality The picture is so clear and lifelike you can see the smallest details as if you were standing next to the subjects on screen. I thought I wouldn't be able to get accustomed to 3D but I'm enjoying that feature and the TV was on sale for such a ridiculously low price. I am happy I was able to take advantage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First LED I have waited quite a while to buy an LED. This is the first one and I really enjoy it. My only regret would be that maybe should I have bought a smaller tv for my space. In my setup, I am too close so the picture is not as good and motion blur is more visible. When you make the screen smaller using the home screen it is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV! Was very satisfied with this purchase. The sound left a little to be desired, but overall this is an amazing television. This is my 3rd Panasonic television and I'll continue to buy Panasonic products in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lifelike picture Even ordinary DVDs play with beautiful detail and color. I'm still figuring out the controls since the TV is smarter than me. Online features are great, no more streaming thru the laptop. 3D is an unexpected bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from top notch tv for price point sure you can go cheaper or more expensive, but for the price (which was on sale), you can't get a better tv. maybe equivalent. I've had the tv for 2 months and it's easy enough to set up and use all the functions I have wanted to without looking at instructions. Very intuitive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from FUN TV GREAT HOME PAGE DISPLAY. LIKE 3D APPS BUT HAVE SOME GHOSTING ISSUES. SOME LIMITATIONS WITH USE OF VOICE REMOTE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Value I purchased this TV for my family room and have been very happy with it. The picture is sharp and it has a very wide viewing angle, which was important to me. The app selection and performance aren't the greatest, but I didn't buy this TV for its Smart TV features. Sound quality is about as good as you could expect from built-in speakers. Overall, I think this TV is a great value for anyone who isn't quite ready to make the jump to 4k.

FAQs
  • What should I do if my TV will not turn on and the power indicator LED is not flashing?
    Follow these troubleshooting steps:
    • Make sure your TV's power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
    • Make sure the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into has power by testing known working device in that outlet.
    • After verifying the TV is plugged into a working outlet, try pressing the [POWER] button on the TV instead of the TV remote.
If the outlet is working and the TV will not turn on after pressing the [POWER] button on the TV, please consider having the unit serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.
  • What should I do if the front Power indicator LED light is blinking?
    1. Unplug the TV's power cord.
    2. Unplug all cables.
    3. Power the TV using a different power outlet (do not use a power strip or surge protector).

If the problem persists, please consider having the TV serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.

Note: Count how many times the LED light blinks. This can help a technician troubleshoot the problem.
  • What should I do if I can access all of the TV apps except Netflix?
    1. Change the DNS setting of your TV to 8.8.8.8.
    2. If you are able to access the Netflix splash screen, use the TV remote to deactivate your account by pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up. After this process, try loggin back into the Netflix TV app.

If the procedure is successful a screen will come up with the option to deactivate your device from your account. If not try the process again. Once you have successfully deactivated your device, you will need to activate it by opening Netflix and at the main screen selecting Member Sign In, then following the on screen prompts until activation is complete.

If the Netflix app still fails to open, but all of the other TV apps work, visit help.netflix.com for more support.

  • What should I do if I have bars displaying on the TV screen?
Change the format (aspect ratio) of the picture by pressing the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the TV's remote control. If you still have bars, check the aspect settings on your external video source, such as Cable/Satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray Disc player, etc. Note: Some content, such as film-based movies, are available in extra-wide format. Top and bottom bars are unavoidable.
