TC-42LD24 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Picture Quality This is a GREAT TV. When we turned it on it, we thought it was 3D. The picture is the best we have ever seen. The HD is so good it is almost like we can step into the picture with the actors. Breathtaking scenery. Wanted to watch it all night. As a new product, this did not have a lot of reviews to go by, but we LOVE it. No need to pay more, you will not find a better TV at any price. Run, don't walk to get one!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing We have one 4 year old HD TV so we have been familiar with HD. We were shocked to see the difference in this TV. This unit was recommended to us by the staff at Costco as their favorite TV at any price or size. It was so real that the Cracken monster in Clash of the Titans scared my normally aggressive dog. It literally looked like it was alive and coming out of the picture. Only one complaint. It is so real and alive looking I feel like a voyeur looking into the window at someones house. So is this a complaint or high praise? I guess that depends on how real you want your entertainment to be. The adult kids liked it so much that one went out and bought it the next day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Panasonic or Viera? Before I review , Panasonic your confusing? If your changing names let us know. Costco has a 2 year warren-tee. Is that with you or Costco? This is a great TV so far. We had a plasma that I thought was great but this TV is superior in picture all around quality. Very easy connections and the TV basically set itself up and read the channels immediately. TV is also light and clean looking. Well done Panasonic . Now if you could get your public relations in order you might have something going on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OH Yeah!! I took a chance on this TV mainly because there were no current reviews about this product. I was nervous but I put my bid in anyway. I bought this TV from a local company on Ebay. I am so esctatic. This tv looks great. I wish that it was housed in a piano black case but I will survive. The audio is great and the controls are too simple. What I would like to complain about are the locations of the HDMI ports. I donot have a 90 degree HDMI cable. I wonder if this is going to hinder me from mounting this thing to the wall. If they have 90 degree cables I KNOW that they are going to cost me an arm and a leg. Otherwise I am fine.

  • What should I do if my TV will not turn on and the power indicator LED is not flashing?
    Follow these troubleshooting steps:
    • Make sure your TV's power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
    • Make sure the electrical outlet the TV is plugged into has power by testing known working device in that outlet.
    • After verifying the TV is plugged into a working outlet, try pressing the [POWER] button on the TV instead of the TV remote.
If the outlet is working and the TV will not turn on after pressing the [POWER] button on the TV, please consider having the unit serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.
  • What should I do if the front Power indicator LED light is blinking?
    1. Unplug the TV's power cord.
    2. Unplug all cables.
    3. Power the TV using a different power outlet (do not use a power strip or surge protector).

If the problem persists, consider having the TV serviced. Click here for Panasonic Service Locator.

Note: Count how many times the LED light blinks. This can help a technician troubleshoot the problem.
  • What should I do if I get audio but no picture from an external device connected to my TV?
    • Try unplugging the cable between the TV and the external device and reconnecting it firmly on both sides.
    • Try unplugging the power cord of the external device for 30 seconds.
    • Try connecting another external device to the same input using the same cable.
    • If the picture returns on the second device, you may need to contact the manufacturer of the first external device you had connected for further troubleshooting.
    • Try using a different cable between your device and the TV using the same input of your TV. If you get a picture and audio, you may need to replace your cable.
    • Try another input of the TV to verify if there is an issue with the TV input the external device was connected to.
  • What should I do if I have bars displaying on the TV screen?
Change the format (aspect ratio) of the picture by pressing the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the TV's remote control. If you still have bars, check the aspect settings on your external video source, such as Cable/Satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray Disc player, etc. Note: Some content, such as film-based movies, are available in extra-wide format. Top and bottom bars are unavoidable.
