Give You a Whole New Look at Daily Life.

iA (Intelligent Auto)

This powerful function senses the shooting conditions and automatically makes the settings and activates functions that will deliver optimal results. The iA lets you forget about bothersome settings and makes it easy to capture beautiful, well-focused images.

*The functions included in iA may not be applied when conditions do not call for them.

Captures large groups, even when shooting from up close.
33 mm Wide Angle* and Advanced O.I.S.

The 33mm wide-angle* setting on the Standard Series fits more people and more of the background into the frame. This is especially handy when you want to take a group photo in a small room. It fits your subjects in even when you shoot from up close, and makes it possible to pick up even small sounds with the mic.

* 35mm camera equivalent

Enhanced Optical 78x Zoom and Advanced O.I.S.

The new Enhanced Optical 78x Zoom has been added to the compact body of the easy-to-carry camcorder. By taking maximum advantage of the effective CCD area, the camera makes it easy to capture a wide range of dynamic images, from sweeping landscapes with the 33mm wide-angle scope to close-ups of distant subjects with the 78x zoom, without having to worry about image degradation. However, with long-distance zoom shots, even a tiny bit of hand-shake has a huge effect on picture quality. That's where Advanced O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) comes in. It shifts a corrective lens as you shoot to help eliminate the effects of hand-shake, so you get clear, sharp shots even at high zoom levels. It's an essential feature for getting the most out of this incredible zoom lens.

SDR-H100 is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Consider it a kids toy While in Alaska, I was standing on a deck eye level with a bald eagle perched in a tree. The camera was on a tripod setting on the hand rail. I took my time to setup the shot so the auto focus could make its necessary adjustments.(NO MANUAL FOCUS) The eagle took to flight, and I snapped a shot just as its talons left the branch. The picture look great on the small display. I transferred the image to my computer and it was so grainy I almost trashed the camera right there. Its only saving grace is that it is fair for micro photography. Give this one to the kids. They will learn what NOT to buy when they are ready for serious photography.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I'm sorry I bought this camera The video quality is poor. If you take video indoors, forget it. Everything is blurry , grainy, looks out of focus.Outdoors is not bad. The zoom is very good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Misleading Camera Ever This video camera can ONLY upload videos to a PC. I HAVE A MAC. So i cannot upload ANY OF MY VIDEOS TO MY COMPUTER! This was very upsetting after i had spent alot of money on this video camera to not be able to use any of the videos! Worst of all is that nowhere on the box that it came in did it say that it only works with PC computers. Not until you get into the middle of the owner's manual does it state that. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU HAVE A MAC!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great camcorder. This is my fourth camcorder since 1987 and it's by far the best of the bunch. Very small and light, I can add it to my DSLR backpack and it takes up no more space than a lens. Video quality is great and sound is good. The only negative I have with this camera, and most of them now, is that there is no input for a good microphone.
