Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst product I have only had my microwave for 3 years and the latch stopped working. Everyone buying the Panasonic genius sensor has the same problem. Why hasnt this been recalled.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Short Lifespan The door has always been very tough to close (almost have to slam it in order to close it.). Recently, upon opening the microwave the glass plate would spin on its own when the door was opened, and stop spinning when the door was closed. Then the microwave stopped working - enter cook time, press start, light comes on, nothing happens and microwave audibly "clicks" and shuts off.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from We have not had this Panasonic NN-SN960S for long We bought this microwave from Sam's Club. Recently the rotating plate began to spin when the door was open. After a week of that it has quit working at all. This is the second Panasonic microwave we have had that had a short life, I guess their quality is decreasing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Died after 1 year We bought this unit from Sam's club. After one year of lite use, the plate started spinning on its own when the door was opened. Then it just stopped working all together. You close the door, the light stays on and it will not function. I read that others having the same problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very bad product Two microwave with the same problem. When close door no run start or off afert start. Buy thi in Sam Club PR seven months late and they no accept change, warranty expire. Very bad product. Never buy buy Panasonic again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good power but difficult to program We have used this product for almost a year and we are happy with the power and speed but the programming is outrageous. 4Xs more steps to do what is very easy on other units from other manufactures. Once running the unit does not tell you what speed it is running and what part of the program it is running. Very frustrating. At first I would have recommended the product due to its speed and power but now that we have used it for a year I would not recommend it unless they change the front panel interface.

  • What should I check if my microwave stops working?
    Check the fuse/circuit breaker for the outlet to see if it has been tripped or blown. Check other outlets to see if there is a GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) outlet that is on the same circuit as the outlet used for the unit and see if it needs to be reset. Connect the oven to another outlet to see if unit is still operational. If the unit is still not working, please contact a local authorized servicer for diagnosis and repair.

  • What should I do if my microwave display is not working?
    Check to make sure unit is plugged into a working outlet by plugging in another device to determine if power is available at the receptacle.
    If power is not available at the outlet check your fuse/circuit breaker, panel.

    Note: Newer homes/buildings are generally wired with GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) receptacles, if your building is equipped with GFI receptacles be sure to check if the circuit breaker directly on the receptacle has been tripped and requires reset.

    If you determine the outlet has power but the microwave still is not functioning, contact a local Panasonic authorized servicer for repair.

  • How do I remove the odor from inside the microwave?
    Combine 1 to 1-1/2 cups (250 - 375 ml) water with the juice and peel of one lemon in a 2 quart microwave safe bowl. Heat contents on high for 5 min.(s). After water finishes boiling, wipe interior of oven with a cloth.

  • For some reason my microwave oven displays units of measure in grams instead of ounces. How do I change it back?
    1. Unplug the microwave oven for about 60 Seconds.
    2. Right after you plug the microwave back in, press the *start button (this will initiate/toggle the oven between grams and ounces.
    3. Choose the unit of measure.
    *Note: Depending on the model microwave oven you may need to turn the dial instead of pressing the button to start.
