Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Latch not working We are having a problem with the latch not working unless you slam the door. I guess we will not have it repaired after reading the reviews....will likely be a waste of money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Activation switch on door gone bad - twice! We've had this microwave about 4 years, and use it multiple times a day, mostly to heat things up. Love the size, features, look, etc. Except for one major problem. After about 2 years, we started having trouble with the microwave not turning on after closing the door. Repeated closing (even slamming) was required before the thing would turn on. The problem got worse and worse until I took it to an appliance repair place. They said it had to do with the latch on the door not engaging (electrically) which is required to activate the microwave. This is a safety feature, so you can't turn the microwave on unless the door is fully closed. They (the appliance repair shop) fixed the latch, and the microwave worked fine for about 2 months. Then the same thing started happening again. Now the microwave will not turn on at all, no matter how many times we open and shut the door, jiggling the door and even slamming it. Really annoying. At this point, to get it fixed again will cost what a new microwave will cost. Such a waste of resources for such a simple problem! There is nothing wrong with the microwave except for the latch, but I have to trash (hopefully recycle) the thing just for that. I hope Panasonic can fix this problem in future models. Because of our experience, I would not recommend this microwave.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great While It Lasted I had a previous version for 19 years. I bought this one about 15-18 months ago. It was great. I loved it, just like the rest of my Panasonic equipment, until it died. The magnetron went out on it (arcing within the magnetron). The warranty would only cover the part....if I had kept the receipt. I am very disappointed with this product. When I hear that the magnetrons have a decent life expectancy with the Inverter technology, I will likely buy another one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Excellent I absolutely love this microwave. I had bought a different microwave 6 weeks prior, but after seeing this one, I returned the first one. I love the easy to use functions. Its quiet and cooks very evenly. It has a child lock feature to prevent children from playing with or using the microwave. It has delay start. I activated beep off, which disables the beeping once food is done. Its sleek and I like that it is stainless steel all over and not just the front. Beautiful!!

What should I check if my microwave stops working?Check the fuse/circuit breaker for the outlet to see if it has been tripped or blown. Check other outlets to see if there is a GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) outlet that is on the same circuit as the outlet used for the unit and see if it needs to be reset. Connect the oven to another outlet to see if unit is still operational. If the unit is still not working, please contact a local authorized servicer for diagnosis and repair.

What should I do if my microwave display is not working?Check to make sure unit is plugged into a working outlet by plugging in another device to determine if power is available at the receptacle.
If power is not available at the outlet check your fuse/circuit breaker, panel.
Note: Newer homes/buildings are generally wired with GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) receptacles, if your building is equipped with GFI receptacles be sure to check if the circuit breaker directly on the receptacle has been tripped and requires reset.
If you determine the outlet has power but the microwave still is not functioning, contact a local Panasonic authorized servicer for repair.

For some reason my microwave oven displays units of measure in grams instead of ounces. How do I change it back?
- Unplug the microwave oven for about 60 Seconds.
- Right after you plug the microwave back in, press the *start button (this will initiate/toggle the oven between grams and ounces.
- Choose the unit of measure.
