NN-SD987SB is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wish I'd bought a different Microwave! I had owned the Panasonic Microwave/Convection table top unit and loved it...but it burned out very quickly - didn't even own it 2 years. I didn't want to spend that much money again so I bought this NN-SD987S. Very displeased! Foods don't cook evenly & sometimes are barely warm even after cooking for the recommended time. I would not buy this brand again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from garbage Died 2 weeks outside warranty. Panasonic offered zero help. Microwave was not used much. will never purchase Panasonic product again. Look around, better options out there

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not if you want to install it in the wall! The trim kit that is sold with this product is defective - it simply does not fit the product for which it is intended. The microwave itself works fine, but unless you want a huge 2.2 cu ft. microwave sitting on your countertop, look elsewhere.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from inverter heats foods more evenly This is my second Panasonic Microwave inverter oven. I like the inverter feature. The inverter heats foods more evenly at power settings lower than full (100 %) power than other microwaves . I wish all microwaves had the inverter feature. Give the Panasonic Microwave INVERTER oven a try. You will like how it cooks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality & durable Microwave This is my second Panasonic 2.2 Genius Microwave inverter oven. The first I got in 2002, repaired once for $100 after 2 yrs, then lasted till 2009. Got the second unit as a replacement and has worked efficiently for the last 4 years with no issues. Would rate our daily usage above normal. Hope they continue the workmanship on this great household appliance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite Microwave so far! I highly recommend this model, so versatile. Beautiful, easy to use, wipe clean. We barely purchased this model & the movers dropped it and broke it. When the insurance is settled, mom & I are going to buy another. The only Panasonic to top this is a smaller one with convection cooking as well., we may consider that model. Jazzzi

  • What should I check if my microwave stops working?

Check the fuse/circuit breaker for the outlet to see if it has been tripped or blown. Check other outlets to see if there is a GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) outlet that is on the same circuit as the outlet used for the unit and see if it needs to be reset. Connect the oven to another outlet to see if unit is still operational. If the unit is still not working, please contact a local authorized servicer for diagnosis and repair.

  • What should I do if my microwave display is not working?
Check to make sure unit is plugged into a working outlet by plugging in another device to determine if power is available at the receptacle.
If power is not available at the outlet check your fuse/circuit breaker, panel.

Note: Newer homes/buildings are generally wired with GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) receptacles, if your building is equipped with GFI receptacles be sure to check if the circuit breaker directly on the receptacle has been tripped and requires reset.

If you determine the outlet has power but the microwave still is not functioning, contact a local Panasonic authorized servicer for repair.
