NN-SD972S is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fantastic when it worked Ordered this microwave on Jan 25, 2013. Today ii is January 23, 2015. While the microwave worked, it was the best I have ever operated. However, it did not even last 3 years. For the price it should have lasted a lot longer. If you want to throw money away then buy this. If you want to save money don't buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Less than a month old I am still trying to learn the power factors using an inverter versus my old microwave. The heating seems to be more uniform and takes less time. The knob is OK, but I prefer a touch pad for entering time, etc. You need to keep the manual handy to know what the Sensor Cook settings are. Example a setting of #3 is what? The keep warm setting is also nice. The use of the more/less is also a trial and error setting. After the food is done, you then realize you should have hit the More button 1 time or Less. It is after the fact so you need to remember how to adjust it for you preference and the type of food being cooked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I have only had it for about a month, but so far, I love it. My previous microwave was also a Panasonic, which I was never really happy with and the door latch broke after about a year. I decided to take another chance with Panasonic and hopefully will not be sorry.

FAQs
  • Visit our Community to find FAQs & Tutorials, ask or answer a question, or search through previous questions related to your product.
  • What should I check if my microwave stops working?
Check the fuse/circuit breaker for the outlet to see if it has been tripped or blown. Check other outlets to see if there is a GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) outlet that is on the same circuit as the outlet used for the unit and see if it needs to be reset. Connect the oven to another outlet to see if unit is still operational. If the unit is still not working, please contact a local authorized servicer for diagnosis and repair.

  • What should I do if my microwave display is not working?
Check to make sure unit is plugged into a working outlet by plugging in another device to determine if power is available at the receptacle.
If power is not available at the outlet check your fuse/circuit breaker, panel.

Note: Newer homes/buildings are generally wired with GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) receptacles, if your building is equipped with GFI receptacles be sure to check if the circuit breaker directly on the receptacle has been tripped and requires reset.

If you determine the outlet has power but the microwave still is not functioning, contact a local Panasonic authorized servicer for repair.

  • How do I remove the odor from inside the microwave?
Combine 1 to 1-1/2 cups (250 - 375 ml) water with the juice and peel of one lemon in a 2 quart microwave safe bowl. Heat contents on high for 5 min.(s). After water finishes boiling, wipe interior of oven with a cloth.

    2. Right after you plug the microwave back in, press the *start button (this will initiate/toggle the oven between grams and ounces.
    3. Choose the unit of measure.
