Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from Limited Lifetime We have owned Panasonic Microwaves for 10 years and on average the magnetron breaks every 2.5 years. This time it broke one month after the 2 year warranty expired. It used daily, but never abused or over-used...and because it is kept impecablly clean, it still looks brand new. And yet they break...too often!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Very good Microwave for the money! This microwave is excellent mostly because of the inverter technology. It cooks the middle of foods better than any other microwave I've used. Plus it is powerful and quite sleek looking (lower profile than others). Because it is shorter or lower than other microwaves, it may be hard to cook a tall item, but it is big and easily gets almost any kind of plate in there. I waited until I had this microwave for a year before I am writing this review. The dial (which newbies complain about) is actually super easy to use. It's just a matter of getting used to it. It does make the face look cleaner.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from Dial "Feature" Is Anything But Using the dial to set cooking time becomes old real fast. Instead of tapping 3 keys for the time you end up tapping the dial to pop it out turning the dial one way, usually missing the time so you have to fine tune a few times, pushing the knob back in, then hitting start. I think someone in the design area tried to get a little too cute with the design and failed. If it takes me longer to get the microwave running and I don't have as much control over the time settings (the time resolution is determined by the overall time and you can't change it) then the design shouldn't have made it out of the lab. We are returning the microwave tomorrow.

What should I check if my microwave stops working?Check the fuse/circuit breaker for the outlet to see if it has been tripped or blown. Check other outlets to see if there is a GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) outlet that is on the same circuit as the outlet used for the unit and see if it needs to be reset. Connect the oven to another outlet to see if unit is still operational. If the unit is still not working, please contact a local authorized servicer for diagnosis and repair.

What should I do if my microwave display is not working?Check to make sure unit is plugged into a working outlet by plugging in another device to determine if power is available at the receptacle.
If power is not available at the outlet check your fuse/circuit breaker, panel.
Note: Newer homes/buildings are generally wired with GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) receptacles, if your building is equipped with GFI receptacles be sure to check if the circuit breaker directly on the receptacle has been tripped and requires reset.
If you determine the outlet has power but the microwave still is not functioning, contact a local Panasonic authorized servicer for repair.

For some reason my microwave oven displays units of measure in grams instead of ounces. How do I change it back?
- Unplug the microwave oven for about 60 Seconds.
- Right after you plug the microwave back in, press the *start button (this will initiate/toggle the oven between grams and ounces.
- Choose the unit of measure.
