Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from Disappointed. Broke too soon. We got this for our basement about 2 years ago, because of the price and the inverter technology. Because of this, it was not exposed to extreme temperatures and was used about once a month. Using the knob to enter all the numbers instead of a touchpad is a little annoying since we are used to using the touchpad. We got the H98 error about 2 months ago (less than 30 uses), and after doing some online research, it means the magnetron needs to be replaced which is too expensive. It turns out we never used the inverter technology to defrost since it is in the basement. Disappointed since we have a Panasonic TV and phones which have both worked well for years.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from H98 Error SAD It was a great microwave until the 6 month mark when I got the H98 error and haven't been able to get it working since. Really disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Dreaded H98 error and really bad smell The inverter technology evidently needs more work. It worked fine until the guarantee was up, then the door handle got wonky. It still ran-for about 10 seconds, then it stopped and gave us the H98 message, along with an acrid electric burning smell. Check out H98 on hte web and you will find lots of others with the same problem. Once the magnetron is fried its too expensive to fix.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from What's with the lights? My previous Panasonic microwave died. Being very satisfied I set out to get another. This is the second model I'm returning because the interior light only turns on when the microwave is running. My old microwave the light came on when the door was opened. My microwave is in a dark corner and at night I want an interior light to see what's going on. Other brands have an interior light with door open. Why does Panasonic no longer? Guess I'll have to buy one of those other brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great Cooking This was given to me as a gift. It replaced a microwave that i've had for years and felt worked well enough. ...a baked potato here, a defrosted item there. So I wasn't expecting to be so impressed. Well, i was very pleasantly surprised. Foods that i would not normally like microwaved would come out tastier and crisper than i thought possible. The auto sensor has become finally a feature that i can use and rely on to cook things well and with ease. I was skeptical but now am convinced that technology has made strides in cooking tasty foods Very quickly. This model is super fast. And has shown me it will go where microwaves in my kitchen have not gone before. ....now i will actually enjoy a quick snack of fried chickend , or bake a quick ( 30 second ) brownie / soufle cooked in a ramakin. I feel bad for the reviewer that returned theirs before actually trying it. A light for when the food is cooking only is all that is needed. I'm cooking in a kitchen , not a cave.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Bad Design I returned this product without ever actually using it. I got it home, set it up and discovered the interior light only operates while the unit is cooking! Yes! No light if you want to look at the food even to stir it. No light if you want to clean the interior! Be sure to keep a flashlight close by. Not for me!

What should I check if my microwave stops working?Check the fuse/circuit breaker for the outlet to see if it has been tripped or blown. Check other outlets to see if there is a GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) outlet that is on the same circuit as the outlet used for the unit and see if it needs to be reset. Connect the oven to another outlet to see if unit is still operational. If the unit is still not working, please contact a local authorized servicer for diagnosis and repair.

What should I do if my microwave display is not working?Check to make sure unit is plugged into a working outlet by plugging in another device to determine if power is available at the receptacle.
If power is not available at the outlet check your fuse/circuit breaker, panel.
Note: Newer homes/buildings are generally wired with GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) receptacles, if your building is equipped with GFI receptacles be sure to check if the circuit breaker directly on the receptacle has been tripped and requires reset.
If you determine the outlet has power but the microwave still is not functioning, contact a local Panasonic authorized servicer for repair.

For some reason my microwave oven displays units of measure in grams instead of ounces. How do I change it back?
- Unplug the microwave oven for about 60 Seconds.
- Right after you plug the microwave back in, press the *start button (this will initiate/toggle the oven between grams and ounces.
- Choose the unit of measure.
