Rated 2 out of 5 by from Heavy, med suction, awkward handle Darn It was a mistake to buy this baby. I was impressed with the earlier Panasonic Vac with auto cord reel and bag. It worked like a champ for me until my wife broke the lock for stand up. It still vacuums like a good old Vac should be. Back to the UL975, the darn suction is about low to medium, compared to an older one. The design is mostly bad, handle is hard to hold and control, cord winding place just awkward, the canister lid just drop off every time, cleaning the canister and filter is just not worth the bag less value. If you into the spinning trash in the canister, this Vac is for you. Get a real Vac for home, at this price, look for something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a superstar This is the best vacuum I ever bought. from the first room I cleaned I saw a dramatic difference of how clean the room was and actually had fun cleaning. The best was the gauge telling me how dirty my floor was and giving me the green light to go on was very reassuring it was finally clean. We have 2 big dogs and 2 cats and its picked up ALL of the hair. I was blown away. If you have pets in your house this is a MUST have!! This will be the last vacuum I ever buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from solid vacuum; powerblast could work better I bought this vacuum about one year ago. It is very durable with solid build quality. Note, that with that comes weight - so consider that in your purchase. Its strength is definitely on carpet with the agitator on. It cleans up. I have issues with the edge cleaning powerm, which is so/so. Additionally, the PowerBlast does not work at all. I have a short haired dog, but her fur seems to clog up the creases of the filter. I have to clean out the filter almost every time, which is inconvenient under this design. Given the weight and size, it is hard to effectively do stairs with this vacuum. The tools and extension wand work okay, but they can be hard to manuever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super vacuum We have three dogs who shed, this vacuum has done a better job of keeping the dog hair under control than any we have used before. The only complaint that I have is that the dealer where we bought the vacuum is unable to supply the filter. The filter is washable, cleans itself every time you turn on the vacuum, however with three dogs and after heavy use I would like to change the filter!

  • Why is there no more suction from my vacuum?
    Check the following:
    1. Ensure that the dust bin is not clogged or full. If so clear the clogged area or empty the bin.
    2. Check the hose for damage or holes. Replace the hose if needed.
    3. Ensure that the hose is inserted fully.
    4. Ensure that the filters are clean.
  • Why did my agitator brush stop spinning in my vacuum?
    Ensure that the belt is not broken. If the belt is broken, replace it. If the belt is not broken and is installed correctly, the vacuum would require servicing. You can locate the closest service center by clicking here.
  • Why does the vacuum become extremely hot and shut off after five minutes?
    1. Ensure that there are no clogged areas
    2. Change the filter
    3. Check the hose.
