MC-CG917 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Defective part I purchased two CG-917's. Initially a good machine, it did the job. But on BOTH machines the plastic piece that connects the power head to the wand broke, completely severed, making the machines useless. Bought the vacuums in February and here I sit in August with expensive, broken, completely useless vacuums. As for help, ha ha. the first chat lady said not covered and ended the chat. Another lady wants me to go about 3 hours away to have it inspected by an approved shop. Sorry, that's a bit of an inconvenience. I am certain that for the money one can find a good vacuum that will hold up better than this defective machine. Don't buy it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor bag installaion I purchased this vacuum in Dec 2015 at a great price, to be used primarily in my family room where I have a pellet stove. (My primary vacuum is a Rainbow and it doesn't do well with ash and wood dust). I was impressed with the silence of the motor--the only noise you hear is the rush of the air being sucked into the hose-- and the amount of suction. I liked the attachments, especially that both the floor and furniture brushes used natural fiber so they would not scratch wood surfaces. It seemed to work great. The disappointment came when I recently changed the as-received vacuum bag. The bag itself was nice and clean on the outside so I assumed it was doing its "hepa" job. But the entire bag compartment was covered in a layer of fine dust--in particular where the bag attaches to the basket and hose. The owners manual warns about properly installing the bag and had I been the one to do it, I would have blamed myself. But this was a factory installation. The only time I've ever seen this much dust having escaped the bag was with a old single ply bag for a Hoover Celebrity, circa 1984. The issue is apparently that foam "gasket" which does a poor job of sealing the connection between the hose and the bag. A poorly thought out design which could be easily remedied by extending the end of the hose so it protrudes farther into the bag. Anyway, I wiped out the compartment with a damp rag and installed a new bag. Will use it off and on for the next couple of months and if I get the same dust by-pass results as with the factory installed bag, the vacuum will be exiled to cleaning the car and the basement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great vacuum for the price I bought this a couple years ago, and haven't had any problems with it. It does a great job cleaning and even the spinning brush attachment works as expected whereas it doesn't on other vacuums I've tried. My only wish is that the power head would attach directly to the handle. That would make it a lot easier to use on carpeted stairs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great vacuum for the money I would have given this vacuum five stars except for the fact that the floor brush is cumbersome. It has very little flexibility and the few number of bristles on the bottom make it necessary to use it at an angle. It has plenty of suction and is relatively easy to maneuver around furniture and corners. All in all I like it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Vacuum but needs some product updates Purchased this vacuum for a new house. Read reviews from various sites and this product was well received. I got lucky with a sale over Christmas and ordered. Vacuum is easy to assemble out of the box. Used it very hard the first few days to clean the new construction house. Vacuumed the leftover construction dust in the basement and picked up pretty much all the debris except for the heaviest things and this is NOT a shop vacuum. Excellent job. Power bush has settings for both bare floors and carpet. The bare floor setting picked up all the dust on hardwood floors. Pros: long power cord. 12 amp motor. pet brush HEPA Cons: Crevice tool is useless - it is 3-4 inches long. It can't reach deep into corners. Vacuum hose is too short. Can't reach high places with attachments. Hits your heels when vacuuming. Another 3-4 feet long would be good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Optiflow 360° Swivel Canister Vacuum MC-CG917 Overall excellent product, just wish the upholstery cleaning attachment had a bit more power. Brush driven by suction alone. Would prefer it to be powered. But still very satisfied with the vacuum.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better than I expected I needed to replace my old Panasonic canister vacuum with something that would remove pet fur from my carpets and furniture. I love this vacuum because it does just that. The dust bag holder has a handle on it so you can remove the basket with the full bag. The hose is shorter but that isn't a problem for me because the wand extends quit a bit. In all, I am glad I purchased this vacuum because it does a great job picking up the fur from my 2 Pomeranian's and 1 cat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Vac We have ever owned Have tried many brands of upright and canisters over the years. This model is far superior. light, very quiet, and has powerful suction. Have had this one for a year with almost daily use and no problems. Especially like the cord retraction device.
