Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Phone with Some Minor Drawbacks The KX-TG7500 series is a great cordless phone system but there are a few flaws. There are many good points about the phone; one of which is its' performance. Calls are clear and can be made over quite a range. I've made a couple of calls outside of the house and there seemed to be no problem. Although, there are times when I make or receive calls in a room (our house has cement walls), the quality drops and some static momentarily enters. Fortunately, there's a clarity booster feature that strengthens the signal. But I always thought that since it was DECT 6.0 PLUS, it would be the last word in cordless technology, but it seems there's room for improvement. I like the look and feel of the phone in my hand. It's got a rubber grip behind that's for cradling but also good for holding it the normal way. It gives you extra grip. I wish the orange indicator light was visible from the front instead of recessed in the back. In certain angles you can't see it so you don't know if the phone's charging or if you have messages. Speaking of charging, our old Panasonic's battery faltered after a couple of years and sometimes our calls would be cut short because it couldn't hold the charge. This model has rechargeable AAA NiMH batteries so they can be easily replaced. I don't know if Panasonic would recommend using other battery brands; probably not. But battery life seems to be good so far. We've only had the system for a few weeks. A neat feature is the alarm; the drawback is the handset has to be taken out of the base station or charging dock. But what if you need to charge the phone and still set an alarm? The alarm will not ring when it's docked. And the ringtones are horrible. The melodies are corny and the other tones are irritating. I wish it had a subtle ringtone like in business phones or lower-pitched tones. The group listings for the phone book is great. You can put 'Family', 'Friends', 'Utilities', etc in their respective groups to make searching easier. A bigger memory capacity would be nice though as well as the capacity to spell out longer names. As I stated, it's a very good phone with some flaws, but they aren't deal breakers. Still worth a recommendation.
