Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good, Smartphone App Could Be Improved Had some challenges registering the smart phone app on 2 iPhones, had to reset the unit and re-install twice on both of our phones. Once installed and registered though, all worked fine. Door sensors and Smart Switch were easy to install and work great. Motion detector is very sensitive to temperature so doesn't work in my basement where the temperature is always set to ~60 degrees and the temp can fluctuate by more than a couple of degrees; we had several false alarms and I had to relocate it. For the price, I wish it included a camera too, but will look into purchasing one. It should also have a louder alert tone; loud noises when an intruder trips a sensor is the most effective means to scare them away. I will have to invest in a loud horn to connect to the smart switch. Reading, clearing and working with the log on the app is not real intuitive and could stand improving. Still haven't figured out how to get it to call a phone number when the alarm goes off. All in all a good value and we are pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Modular As a base package it does the job. Recently we had an individual with Alzheimer's take a walk at 3am. We weren't looking for an alarm so much as a way to monitor the front door. Installation of the system was amazingly simple. Configuration options allowed me exactly what we wanted. I was able to turn off the base hubs built in alarm so should another escape happen the Panasonic phone will alert us without waking the neighborhood or upsetting the sleepwalker. I'm thrilled that it's a Panasonic phone as having tried many brands Panasonic phones have been my choice hands down for the last 20 years. The only thing I can think of for my wish list is for Panasonic to add a pool temperature monitor so I can check the pool temp from my phone app. Oh, the indoor camera is amazing too. It tells you the ambient temperature and has a listening microphone that picks up everything. I just wish it was HD quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent so far. I took advantage of the free camera and ordered an extra so the price was great. So far this is an excellent system. I had a glitch during the initial app installation and called Panasonic Customer Service for help. I don't know the name of support member that assisted me but she was most pleasant and stayed on the phone for over an hour. Turned out the glitch was not related to the system but a deficiency on my phone. I eventually loaded the app on my wife's iPad and everything worked perfectly. After installation of the app on the iPad adding my phone was easy. No idea why but it worked. Installation of the cameras, sensors, etc was as simple as could be. You will definitely want to bookmark the "Using the app" page because there is a lot of information and system options that you would otherwise not be aware of. I'm still playing with the system so I don't know what all it is capable of but so far it is everything I wanted.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth it This is pretty reliable , sometimes have problems connecting remotely , but I don't always have the greatest cell service. I would like to see some fire sensors (heat CO2, and smoke ) in the future. I love the idea of the smart plug activation when cell phone is detected , the problem with that is it needs a disconnect timer , my cell reconnects to my wifi at least once per hour, while i'm at home, so this feature doesn't work well at all.If it could be set to activate smart plug if phone disconnects for 30 min. It would work great. I would also like to see an arm/ disarm schedule feature , so it can auto arm every night automatic. Overall cool product. I install security systems for a living and hate the thought of a monthly payment . This was perfect for me. I have been waiting for a product like this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy DIY home monitoring Pretty happy with my purchase. Being a new to market item, I figured it would be full of glitches. So far it's been solid. It already does everything I'd expect of it but I think it can grow to do more with future software upgrades. Nice blend of home monitoring and home security. Setup is simple and as easy as advertised. I have the starter pack with 2 videos , phone, 2 door sensors, smart plug and motion detection. I'm satisfied enough to do up the whole house now. Panasonic: need a water sensor to detect leaks and thermostat control.

  • How can I update the software of the Hub?
    When software update is available you will automatically receive a software update notice to your mobile device. Once accepted the Hub will download the new software through your home Wi-Fi network and update itself. Software update of the Hub will take about 16 minutes to complete. During the update do not unplug the Hub or turn off your mobile device.
  • Why do I get the following error from my Home Monitoring System: Troubleshooting Connection Unsuccessful: Network Signal Error (Weak Signal using 3G, 4G, LTE or Wi-Fi)?
    This is caused by a weak signal with your mobile device.

    1. Make sure you can connect to the internet using your mobile device.

    2. Move to an area where there is a strong signal.

    3. Try changing from mobile data (3G, 4G, LTE) to Wi-Fi.

    4. For iOS user verify if the iPhone or iPad allows mobile data transmission for the app. To check this, Tap "Settings" of the device and tap "Cellular" & scroll down to "USE CELLULAR DATA FOR:" the "Home Network" app should have green toggle switched to On.
  • How do I reset the hub and re-start the initial setup?
    1) Disconnect the AC adaptor from the hub.
    2) While pressing the Wi-Fi SETUP button on the rear of the hub and the CAMERA and OTHER DEVICE buttons on the side of the hub (total 3 buttons), connect the AC adaptor to the hub. Do not release the buttons yet.
    3) Continue to hold the buttons down until the hub's LED indicator lights in yellow, then release the buttons.
    4) Wait for the hub's LED indicator to light in green (about 2 minutes).
    5) Press and hold the Wi-Fi SETUP button until the hub's LED indicator blinks in green.
    6) Wait for the hub's LED indicator to light in red.
    (The hub has been successfully reset.)
    7) Disconnect the AC adaptor from the hub and then connect it again to restart the hub.
  • Can I access the system using a computer?
    No. The system can be accessed using the APP on your mobile devices.
