Reviews

HDC-HS700K is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent camera- fan TOO LOUD It's a decent camera. The problem is 60fps really aren't used anywhere so there isn't much of a point for it. In reality, 24fps is enough for most things. And the other problem is that you have to use it's own software to utilize the 60p - unless you have the latest version of Adobe Premier. And it's not easy to get 60fps working on a mac. These guys really need to make a mac driver for this camera. The biggest problem with this camera is that the fan is too loud. Don't believe me, search for the camera name in youtube. Also it is next to impossible to attach an external mic to this camera. My Rode mic does not work. too bad! The still functions are decent but nothing to write home about. Also I would say the low light/nighttime images leave a lot to be desired. Although in the day time outside, it is phenomenal, but which camera isn't. Low light capability is what sets cameras apart.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Christmas gift to have! I've got European version (we have 50p here) but this is really great to have this wonder of technology. If you are looking for long term investment to your home video gear then this is the option to choose. On top of them, you'll get very nice companion to your computer and HD set to enjoy great video for years.
