FV-08VQL4 is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality I installed this unit on the recommendation of a reputable supply store. The light still works after a few years, but the fan is shot. Not happy I need to replace this so soon. I was expecting it to last for many years, given the price premium over other similar products.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the money Not as quiet as advertised. Flimsy light sockets and bulbs. Bulb life too short. Useless backdraft damper allows all sorts of insects in the house. We have repeatedly found that expensive brands do not perform, and are poor values. I had four of these fans installed in my house during construction, five years ago.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from the light continues to fail and multiple replacemnts have not corrected the problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyone is impressed-very quiet The electrician who did the installation for us is going to replace the one in his home with this Panasonic. He does a lot of work for homebuilders and says he has seen nothing that compares to this fan. Our bath is 10.5' x5' so the 80CFM is perfectly adequate. We have no moisture problems and no need for bathroom sprays. The florescent lamp puts out a bright white light. I recommend purchasing an electronic timer, that can be set, to turn the unit off in user specified lengths of time. We purchased one at a local home improvement store that has 10,20,40 and 60 minute increments. I shopped online until I found the best price. There is a large range of prices out there so be patient and take shipping costs into account. Be sure the installer follows the directions and uses a rigid duct to vent the fan as a flexible one will slow down air flow and may increase noise. We actually vented ours into the attic, running the duct towards the gables, which vent the attic, rather than cutting a hole in the house for it to vent directly outside. The instructions are very detailed for many different types of installations. This fan is highly recommended.
