Rated 5 out of 5 by from Motion sensors Ungrounded ceiling boxes are common in older homes. Expect a light controlled by a motion sensor to blink and malfuction if the circuit is not grounded.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Be aware of elctrical requiremnets! We just installed this fan in a bathroom last week. We thought it would be a good thing to have the motion sensor, timer, light and night light. I was however not aware of the electrical requirement for this fan prior to purchasing this unit. The old fan was on a switched feed, which allowed us to turn fan on or off, no light. Here is where the problem occurs. This fan unit requires three separate 120 volt feeds. A continuous non-switched feed for the fan, which allows the fan to work when the motion sensor is activated or high humidity is detected, and two switched feeds, one for the CFL light and another one for the night light. This is something that is not clear in any of the web information, or on the electrical diagram in the installation manual. To provide these electrical requirements, I had to run another three wire cable from the wall switch to the unit and change the switch to a dual control switch . This installation may not be for some DIYer's. Something to think about before purchasing this unit!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible mistake My wife and I moved into our new house 4 weeks ago. We have six of these motion sensor fans. They ore ok durning the day, however at night walking into our bathroom, then into the toilet room is like walking into a light show. These things blink off and on over and over and over. Unless you stand perfectly still the green light will drive you crazy!! I finally had to disable them entirely. I've been building houses for nearly 40 years and was talked into the motion sensor by my electrician. I'm in the process of making him remove them and installing a traditional switch and fan. The fans themselves are nice and quiet but the night light is not ready for prime time.
