Reviews

DVD-LS92 is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from lasted only 3 trips Purchased this dvd player 4 months ago. Used it for three trips before it stopped playing discs. Only displays "incompatible disc" and "no disc" error messages. To get this issue resolved, Panasonic recommends sending it in for service (http://shop.panasonic.com/shop/model/dvd-ls92%20portable%20dvd%20player?support). Warranty for product is 90 labor, 1 year parts. Since the player is out of warranty for labor (purchased 4 months ago), Panasonic will not cover labor costs. Their estimate for labor and return shipping is $102.45. Don't buy the dvd-ls92.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great DVD Player First, I think it is funny how someone will rate a product low because it was not what they wanted. The box description clearly outlines what is included. If you did not read the box, that does not mean the product should get a bad rating. Unlike the cheap DVD players, this unit is very sturdy, long battery life and easy to use (my 3 year old operates it on his own). This is our second one (one for each kid). The battery life alone justifies the price. Yes, it does not come with a headrest mount but you can purchase it separately. You're paying for quality. If you want a cheaply made DVD player with a short battery life but includes accessories, this is not that unit. We wanted a durable, long battery life and quality unit and could not be happier. We love the optional headrest that clicks onto the unit. We even use it to attach it to thier beds.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from very disappointed I have owned the Panasonic DVD LX97 for seven years (no longer in production), and I wanted to stay with a Panasonic product for my second DVD player. When I made this purchase I was expecting similar features. I need it for long road trips with my four-year-old and 10 month old. None of the reviews that I found stated this product does not come with a remote control, car mounting bracket, or a swivel LCD screen. I have to return this product to the store and see if I can find another DVD player that will fit my needs. I am very disappointed that this is not what I wanted.

FAQs
  • Why can't a rented disc play in my player?
If you're having difficulty playing a disc that you have rented or borrowed, try a disc that you own to see if it plays. If it does play then there could be a problem with the borrowed or rented disc. Try cleaning the disc with a soft cloth to remove any fingerprints or smudges.
  • Is there a remote control code available that will enable me to use another manufacturer's remote to operate this device?
You will have to contact the remote's manufacturer for the codes needed.
  • What do I do in the unit has no power?
If the unit is not powering on, remove the power cord plug from any power strip it may be connected to and plug directly into the wall outlet.
  • Can I playback a DVD from another region other than Region "1", "0", or "play in all regions"?
No, this device is unable to playback a DVD from other regions.
