Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic DVD player I bought a LS-86 DVD/CD (serial # VP8CA004499)three years ago for my one-year-old granddaughter to use during car trips, and she is still using it! We live in Maine and took it to Story Land in NH with us for the 5 hour car trip, and it's a wonderful piece of equipment. I'm now on line looking to purchase another for her two-year-old sister. Just thought I'd encourage anyone looking for a portable DVD player to choose this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long Lasting Battery I bought this portable DVD player based solely on its 13 hr. rated battery. I was on a trip to Lima, Peru with 10 hrs. of fly time, and I was not disappointed! I went ahead and left the screen on the normal daylight setting to really test it. After watching DVDs for 9 1/2 hrs.(using headphones), I checked the battery level and still had 2 out of 3 bars....Impressive!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our normal player broke.... We bought this without really doing any research because our regular dvd player broke. It is a good product for the price. We would of liked a remote control though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Player I bought an older version of this player years ago, and I must say that it is the best DVD player I have ever found, and I've had a number of cheap ones. I have litteraly taken it into the cobat zone in Iraq and it has survived 2 deployments. It is tough! I have fallen asleep with it on my bed and knocked it onto the floor numerous times, and it still works great! Aside from it's duribility, the picture is bright, the sound loud, and the battery actually does last 13 hours! Even after all this time, the battery still lasts. I am buying this player again for my finance because it works so great for me!

How To Guided Tutorials
  • Why can't a rented disc play in my player?
If you're having difficulty playing a disc that you have rented or borrowed, try a disc that you own to see if it plays. If it does play then there could be a problem with the borrowed or rented disc. Try cleaning the disc with a soft cloth to remove any fingerprints or smudges.
  • Is there a remote control code available that will enable me to use another manufacturer's remote to operate this device?
You will have to contact the remote's manufacturer for the codes needed.
  • What do I do in the unit has no power?
If the unit is not powering on, remove the power cord plug from any power strip it may be connected to and plug directly into the wall outlet.
  • Can I playback a DVD from another region other than Region "1", "0", or "play in all regions"?
No, this device is unable to playback a DVD from other regions.
