DMR-EZ485VK is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Purchase Ever. I purchased 2 years ago, still working great, Recentely purchased same refurbished model to keep as spare one. Also Purchased from web site DMR_EH 69 with 325HDD has lot of features too. (NTSC/PAL) Both are easy to use and also yu can record on double layer disc too.Panasonic Products are great rearly needs service.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustration from day one Who can make a modern machine with a digital clock that cannot keep time?Panasonic. Unit comes on to record at preset time but counter stays at zero and nothing is recorded. Manual is totally user unfriendly. Why did I keep it? I purchased two (man cave and family room) and one still keeps plugging along. Often have to RESET to get a timer recording set .. then don't know if it is going to be on the disc or not. Do like being able to title recordings even with it being a time consuming drill.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I"m happy Generally happy with product for my purposes - easy to copy my old personal VHS recordings to DVDs and enjoy scheduled recordings to watch when convient for me. Wish there was more detailed info in the manual, although what is presented guides me thru most things I want to do.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely dissatisfied. Constant malfunction. Constantly shows 'disk incompatible' even when I reset everything or when the unit freezes. Very disappointed. I expected more. Recording when it does happen is good. But too unpredictable. Unit is less than nine months old. I will not buy a Panasonic again. Also, when I record or finalize there is a constant grinding in the unit.

Owner's Manuals
  • Why can't a rented disc play in my player?
If you're having difficulty playing a disc that you have rented or borrowed, try a disc that you own to see if it plays. If it does play then there could be a problem with the borrowed or rented disc. Try cleaning the disc with a soft cloth to remove any fingerprints or smudges.
  • Is there a remote control code available that will enable me to use another manufacturer's remote to operate this device?
You will have to contact the remote's manufacturer for the codes needed.
  • What do I do in the unit has no power?
If the unit is not powering on, remove the power cord plug from any power strip it may be connected to and plug directly into the wall outlet.
  • Can I playback a DVD from another region other than Region "1", "0", or "play in all regions"?
No, this device is unable to playback a DVD from other regions.
