Reviews

DMP-BDT220CP is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay device I am not too happy with this item. The one huge thing that makes me really upset about it is the lack of sign-out options. Why does this not have a sign-out option for Netflix? It makes no sense whatsoever and reflects poorly on Netflix. I dislike the fact that this cuts out sometimes when streaming movies. Overall, I personally think it was not worth the price at all. Avoid it if you want to avoid an unnecessary headache. Also, please update the marketplace with more interesting apps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product 3D is super clear. Blows away theater experience. Great DLNA support allows me to watch movies wirelessly from laptop. Extras like Netflix, Pandora, YouTube and Picassa make this a full featured very inexpensive for the value received.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great DVD Player, But Some Features Don't Work!! I recently purchased this unit.. It's a great DVD Player, but maybe it has too many features, because some do not work... When I first attempted to upgrade the firmware (it won't let you go online until you do) it wouldn't download the file.. It stopped at 1% and stated try again later, which I did about 1/2 dozen times.. I had to go to the Panasonic web-site and download the firmware to my computer, and burn it to disk and play the disk on the DVD player, then it updated the firmware.. This wasn't a problem for me, but if you're not familiar with working with files you might have a problem, because the DVD player will not accept files burnt with all programs.. Secondly, it's suppose to be able to play certain video files on an SD Card or USB stick.. I tried playing MP4 files (which are suppose to be the one of the types it accepts) on my SD-Card and the player would not accept the files.. I also tried .MKV files on my USB stick (which is suppose to be another file it accepts), and again it did not accept it. It played the audio but not the picture/video.. So as of this date, I am unable to play video files on this unit.. So, this player is a great DVD player, but you might have problems with the other features.. In addition, I stated that I DID NOT find the Panasonic Web-site helpful.. I stated that support was POOR!!

FAQs
  • What do I do if the unit has no power?
If the unit is not powering on, remove the power cord plug from any power strip it may be connected to and plug directly into the wall outlet.
  • What should I do if my Blu-ray player freezes or locks-up?
If your Blu-ray player is not responding then do as follows:

    1. Unplug all cables and USB devices from the player.
    2. Unplug the power, wait about 30 seconds then reconnect.

We recommend connecting the player (wired) to your network and attempt updating its Firmware again.
  • What can I do if I am have difficulties accessing Netflix?
For Netflix related problems please do the following:

    1. Connect your player to your Wired / Wireless network.
    2. Check to ensure that your player is set to your current "Time Zone". The wrong "Time Zone" may cause connectivity issues. To check the Time Zone, go to "Setup" -> "Player Settings" -> "Network" -> "Network Settings" -> "Network Service Settings" -> "Time Zone".
    3. Click the [Netflix] button on your players remote to launch the Netflix application. If Netflix does not load what is the error message displayed?
    4. If you experience an error in connection do the following: "Setup" -> "Player Settings" -> "Network" -> "Network Settings" -> "IP Address/DNS Settings" -> "DNS Auto Configuration". Change this setting from "On" to "Off" then change your "Primary DNS" to 8.8.8.8 and your "Secondary DNS" to 8.8.4.4.
    5. Check to see if other Apps are able to be accessed. If other Apps can be accessed and Netflix is the only App not loading, this may be a Netflix issue.
  • How do I activate my Netflix account?
Start by pressing the Netflix button on your remote or select the App showing on screen. If you do not already have an existing Netflix account you'll see an option on Netflix screen offering a free month. "Start your Free Month" should already be highlighted. Navigate to the form and Click [OK] and fill out the information as required on the screen.
