Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy and more I just purchased the BD80 and love it. I have had a BD 35, that I slammed into a shelf( on the drive side), and even though it still worked, the vibration was annoying at times and wanted some of the extras the BD 80 provides. The picture is awesome and the sound is the same( awesome). I am on a budget and this unit was on clearance at Best Buy for $ 174!! This was the last one in my area I found and I am glad I made the switch.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from pretty good this product is very good and im happy with it but it seems i have to press the remote 3 to 4 times before it responds even when pressing on the player to eject it still takes time it would have been great if the remote lit up. other than those problems i love the player it shows amazing pictures .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features After customer service told me I need to insert an SD card to use BDLive, it's been great. I didn't like the "ding" sound when browsing VieraCast; but, a downloadeable update let's me turn it off. The kid's love the access to YouTube and Amazon Videos. The picture and sound are spectacular.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Up conversion Champ! I have had numerious Panasonic products going as far back as tha early 70s. This player has allowed me and my family to enjoy our extensive DVD collection. All other players, to include exspensive products just could not make the cut. If you are the type of person who needs a player costing more than $700.00 thats OK, but you are truely missing a GEM in the BD80K. The value and cost that Panasonic works for is clear in this player. Thanks Panasonic

FAQs
  • What do I do in the unit has no power?
If the unit is not powering on, remove the power cord plug from any power strip it may be connected to and plug directly into the wall outlet.
  • What should I do if my Blu-ray player freezes or locks-up?
If your Blu-ray player is not responding then do as follows:

    1. Unplug all cables and USB devices from the player.
    2. Unplug the power, wait about 30 seconds then reconnect.

We recommend connecting the player (wired) to your network and attempt updating its Firmware again.
  • Why is a "No Read" error message appearing on my players display?

Ensure that the surface of the disc is not dirty, scratched or smudged, or try another disc and see what happens. If the product is unable to play all discs, then it will require servicing.

If you elect to have your Blu-ray Player, DVD Recorder or Home Theater System serviced, please contact Panasonic via email before sending your unit in at panacare@us.panasonic.com. Be sure and provide the model number of your player and a description of what is wrong with the unit. This condition is usually a repair issue and depending on the units age it may or may not be possible due to parts availability.

The remote control and main unit are using different codes. On the remote control, press and hold [OPTION] and the following button at the same time for more than 5 seconds depending on the indication SET 1: [G], SET 2: [B], SET 3: [Y].

    -OR-

On the remote control, press and hold [OK] and the corresponding number [1], [2] or [3] for "SET 1", "SET 2" or "SET 3" respectively.
