Details
DMC-LZ10K
Features

Lumix® 10.1-Megapixel Compact Digital Camera with 30mm Wide-Angle Lens, 5x Optical Zoom, Intelligent Auto Mode and 2.5" Diagonal Intelligent LCD, Black

Features

30mm Wide-Angle Lens with 5x Optical Zoom
With both a 30mm wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens and a 5x zoom, this is one camera that does it all. You can fit more in the photo than you can with a 35mm lens, so you can get more of a sweeping landscape in a single shot. The 5x zoom is great for capturing dramatic shots of small or distant subjects. There's also an Extra Optical Zoom function that boosts zoom power to 8.9x in 3-megapixel resolution mode.

Manual Control for More Creative Freedom
The DMC-LZ10 Lumix 174; digital camera gives you a choice of four exposure modes: Program AE (P), Aperture Priority AE (A), Shutter Priority AE (S) and Manual (M). This gives you the flexibility and creative freedom to capture more expressive shots. You can also fine tune the settings in the Scenery, Portrait, Sports and Night Portrait scene modes on the mode dial to better suit the shooting conditions. This makes it easier to capture the exact image you have in mind.

Intelligent Auto Mode Helps Get Great Shots in Any Situation
iA Mode
Simply set the LZ10 to iA mode and let the camera do the rest. Intelligent Scene Selector chooses the mode that best fits the situation; MEGA Optical Image Stabilization (O.I.S.) helps prevent blurring from hand-shake; Intelligent ISO Control helps prevent motion blur; and Face Detection helps produce clear portraits by optimizing the focus and exposure settings.

Quick Settings Without Taking Your Eyes Off the Subject
You can easily change settings such as auto focus, light metering, white balance, ISO sensitivity, image size, image quality and so on. There's no need to switch to the menu screen.

Intelligent LCD Adjusts Brightness to Match Surroundings
The brightness and contrast of the large 2.5" diagonal LCD adjust automatically in 10 steps as ambient light conditions change, so images are clear, bright and easy to see day or night, indoors or outdoors.

DMC-LZ10K is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Camera I just returned from Spring Break in Puerto Rico where I took 168 pictures. The Lumix LZ10 exceeded my expectations for all 168 pictures - whether the subject was on the beach on a beautiful day with no clouds in the sky, or in the dense rainforest where sunlight was working to break through the dense underbrush....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Inexpensive Travel Camera Pros: Inexpensive, Small, Lightweight, 5x optical zoom, Photo Burst mode, 2.5" screen, AA batteries, Pretty good movie and sound quality Cons: Indoor photos are low quality, Flash takes some time to recharge, Sometimes it is hard for the lens to focus, Can't use zoom when taking movies, Plastic exterior Review: Yes, I was expecting better quality pictures. However, for the price I paid, I think it's just fine. The indoor photos are grainy and a bit blurry. I haven't tried too many photos in sunlight yet, but the ones I have taken in sunlight are just fine. The macro mode is pretty good - it takes the lens a while to find its focus. I don't like the "feel" of the camera... I think it's because of the plastic. Conclusion: I would have to recommend this for someone who likes to travel since it's a very small camera and take better outdoor photos. It's also a good camera to have around for casual use. I'm rather picky about my cameras, so if you're just looking for a camera for general use and don't want to spend a bunch, this camera will work just fine!
