Newly developed F2.2 LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMICRON Lens with 24mm wide-angle feature - The Brightest in Class

The DMC-FX75 is equipped with a newly developed F2.2-5.9 Leica DC Vario Summicron Lens with 24mm wide-angle feature into a compact body. This bright lens offers approximately 170% brightness compared to the conventional F2.8 lens and assures high image quality even in low light condition. Comprising 7 elements in 6 groups, including 3 aspherical lenses with 5 aspherical surfaces, this advanced lens unit realizes an outstanding slim and compact body while achieving exceptional optical performance.

The 24mm wide-angle lens* lets you easily capture large groups of people indoors or expansive architectural structures and scenes with dynamic width and rich perspective, even from short distances.

*Converted to standard 35mm camera equivalent, at the maximum wide position.

The DMC-FX75 has a 5x optical zoom (35mm camera equivalent: 24-120mm) and 10.5x Extra Optical Zoom (35mm camera equivalent: mm)*. The powerful 5x optical zoom can be increased to 6.5x equivalent with the Intelligent Zoom function taking advantage of the Intelligent Resolution technology maintaining the picture quality even using digital zoom.

* At a resolution of 3-megapixel or less. In the DMC-FX75, image resolution is kept at its maximum size to the optical tele-end even if the Extra Optical Zoom is ON.

3.0" INTELLIGENT LCD with Touch Control 3,0 Touch

The new static sensor type 3.0-inch, 230,000 dot touch-screen LCD on the DMC-FX75 gives you easy, intuitive control. Lock on and track your subject and even release the shutter, all with a touch of the LCD. Touch excels not only for shooting but also for image playback with outstanding visibility.

HD Movie in AVCHD Lite with one-touch Video button

In addition to Motion images, the DMC-FX75 can record high-definition motion images in AVCHD Lite. It features almost double the recording time in HD quality compared with the conventional Motion format.

Evolving iA (Intelligent Auto) with Motion Deblur Mode iA_logoiA_logo

Motion Deblur Mode* is a comprehensive integration of Intelligent ISO and Intelligent Exposure which automatically adjusts ISO, optimizes exposure and selects the appropriate shutter speed to suppress the motion blur according to the movement of the subject. Combined with the brightness of the lens and the POWER O.I.S., the FX75 thoroughly prevents any kind of blur. With this mode, the DMC-FX75 can easily take beautiful pictures at weddings, parties, and other low light situations .
*The picture size may be reduced.

Sonic Speed AF Sonic?

The Sonic Speed AF system in the DMC-FX75 has a maximum speed of approx. 0.25 second for auto focusing*. It includes numerous re-engineering enhancements, including a higher-speed actuator, optimized algorithms and parallel software processing. The result is fast and accurate AF performance. You can quickly get moving subjects in focus, such as when you're shooting sports scenes.
* Using the 1-area AF, at the wide-end.

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Suprise I have a old lumix camera and was looking for a new one. I was between two cameras, one with excelents reviews and the FX75k. I love the specification of FX75K, the only two things that I didn´t like so much it was be touch and zoom (which is one thing that I love in my old one). As I take a trip to California, I take the opportunity and buy my camera, as wide angle and has F2.2 Leica it was more important to me than the zoom, I bough it. To my suprise the touch panel was easy to use, I cancel the touch mode shut, so I take the pictures as my old one using the button. The picture and move that I took with it was great. It suprise me in the good way, everybody that saw the pictures and move love it too. I am really happy with my camera. As I had a old Lumix, to me the menu was easy to use, I can´t say that it wll be easy for someone that never use a Lumix before. The response of the touch is good, I calibrated when I first power on and so far no more, I use my finger to pass though the menu and not the pen that came with the camera (to me is more easy and faster use my finger). I take pictures on the day and nigh as film and both was very good, some time the customer mode look better than the intelligent, some times the other, when I take a picture that I don´t like the result I usually change the mode and take other. the only note is it, some time I have to ajust the mode to be as I wish the picture. The advanced manual could be send with the camera, but can be download in documentation of the model on-line. Ps: I left it fall (turned on) on the third day that I bought it, when it fall the cape of the len smash, and len was not able to do the mecanic operation to go ahead and retrive, I was worried think that I had lost the camera but I was able to take the cover and to my suprise the lens was perfect, the cape protect the lens and I finish my trip take all the pictures I wanted, back home already took more pictures and it is perfect. I will look for a new cover here in Brazil, so the len could be protect and more aesthetic. I recomend the FX75K. December 15, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wide & fast Took this camera to Alaska where it performed very well. Nice wide, bright lens. Touch screen worked well. I haven't figured out how to view movies directly on my plasma from the camera using the USB cable yet. Having to download the manual is a pain. The movie button is hard to find so ending a video causes shaking frequently. In all, this camera shoots very good pictures in most settings. The price is tremendous for the features and picture quality. September 8, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Choice! Bought this camera online from panasonic, it was the best price out there, easy to use features and great pictures, This is my first pansonic camera, I had an old cannon and this one beat it ,using a class 6 card (make sure you get a class 6 with this type of camera) September 1, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Quality Pics I recently purchased this camera through the Panasonic website. On Paper all the specs look very good but the image quality is extremely poor. Even outdoor pictures in good light and with an ISO of 80 have way too much noise. Indoor pictures are even worse. My old fx9 model takes 10 times better pictures. I am in the process of sending it back, but beware that there is a 15% restocking fee. I would definitely not recommend this camera. August 22, 2010
