Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dissatisfied The screen is beautiful. It uses small fonts but they are clearly readable at doy or night. The unit gets a quick GPS fix after being turned on. The power switch is in an inconvenient location which requires you to remove the unit from its windshield mount if you forgot to turn on the "Mains". Once running, the position indicated on the display lags compared with the actual position. The lag seems to increase with speed. At 50 mph the lag is about a little more than 1 city block (2 to 3 seconds). This lag make it very easy for you to miss turns. There are a couple of software updates but they and what they do is somewhat confusing. Customer Support did not clarify. I installed one of the updates, which seemed to be the latest one. This brought to life a major shortcoming: all my favorites were erased. There was no warning when I applied the update that this may happen. This GPS has no way of saving your favorites. I had to spend a few hours re-entering them. After I applied the update the software version indicated by the GPS unit changed but it was not the version indicated at the Panasonic site where I downloaded the update. The lag indicated above is still present. The quality and level of the sound when using a bluetooth cell phone is below expectations.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Amuses, or annoys? An a little bit difficult usage and inaccurate software characterize the product. He works slowly. Can be seen, and audible.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Driving will never be the same ! I now have almost a year of experience with Panasonics CN-GP50TC and I'm very satisfied with its capabilities. Nevertheless I'm still awaiting its FIRST update in MAPS, because I live in the proximity of a motorway which is not shown on my *STRADA*. Yet it's the best navigator, with good speedcam-detection, with traffic-updates and reroutings and with a handsfree-fuction for my mobile phone (KRZR-K1). Updates for software are OK when you follow the directions of the PDF-manual strictly. I'm no computer-wizzard, and yet the software updates run smoothly. All-in-all a certain and positive recommandation !! dododo / NL / Europe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strada GPS I recently used the Strada on a trip to Mountain View, CA. It did not seem to have any many points of interest in its database. On another search, I had to expand the area of search several times so it could find the San Jose International Airport. The touch screen is not as sensitive or responsive as I would like, but overall I would suggest that this is an okay GPS. I do like the feature that allows me to save the current position, that was great, although sometimes it would not let me do that. This great feature is hidden a couple of menus in. The computerized voice is.. well, a computerized voice, really mangling some words. I received a major discount when purchasing this GPS because I bought a new Panasonic Viera TV, but I wouldn't have paid full price for it knowing what I know now....
