If the power indicator is blinking on the front of the VIERA, turn off the TV. Then unplug the power cable from the current power source and try a different electrical outlet. Also, remove the power cable from the rear of the TV and plug it back it in (the power cable tab has been inserted correctly when you hear a click).

To remove the black bars from the top and bottom, press the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the remote. The option available to remove the horizontal bars is Zoom.

To remove the black bars from the left and right hand side, press the [FORMAT] or [ASPECT] button on the remote. The options available to remove the vertical bars are H-Fill, Just, and Zoom.

If you use an antenna, indoor or outdoor, to receive over-the-air broadcasting and your TV does not have a built-in digital tuner, then you will need to purchase digital converter box.

From 2006, all LCD models with screens that are 26" or larger will have a digital tuner.From 2007, all LCD models with screens that are 23" or larger will have a digital tuner.
