When I press the Input button I am not able to access the TV input. Why is it greyed out?

The TV input is set to NOT USED.   To enable use of the TV input: 1.  Press [MENU] on the TV remote. 2.  Scroll down to and highlight SETUP then press [OK]. 3.  Scroll down to and highlight ANT/CABLE SETUP then press [OK]. 4.  Refer to the EDITING AND SETTING CHANNELS section of your TV's operating instructions for information on scanning  available channels if necessary.

What does it mean when the TV's red indicator light continuously blinks?

Panasonic utilizes the blinking light as a form of self-diagnostics, similar to the "check engine" light in your car. If you've ever experienced that, you know that a check engine light could indicate anything from a loose gas cap to something that may require more attention. Panasonic uses the number of times the light blinks, to aid the technician in trouble-shooting the problem. The blinking light helps the technician to isolate and diagnose the issue. This in turn speeds up the repair process if repair is needed, helps keep parts costs down, and helps both you and the servicer by allowing the technician to complete a repair in one trip in many cases.

What can I do to prevent temporary image retention (uneven phosphor aging) when viewing stationary images or channels with stationary logos?

1. Always make sure the display is in a viewing mode which completely fills the screen (such as Just, Zoom, Full, H-FILL or 4:3 Full). The viewing mode can be adjusted using the [FORMAT] button on the TV's remote control. 2. Turn down the Picture control (contrast level) to 50% (center position) or less.  3. Briefly engage the 4:3 mode and confirm the side bars are set to "Mid", or "Bright". This can be adjusted in the Set Up menu.  4. Avoid prolonged use of static images (video games, computer images, DVD title screens, TV channel logos, etc.) during the first one hundred hours.

An input other than TV is greyed out in my input select list. How do I enable the input?

The input is set to NOT USED.  To enable use of the input: 1.  Press [MENU] on the TV remote. 2.  Scroll down to and highlight SETUP then press [OK]. 3.  Scroll down to and highlight INPUT LABELS then press [OK]. 4.  Press the [LEFT] or [RIGHT] arrow to change the input label to anything other than not used.

The top and/or bottom of the the picture on my TV is cut off.  How do I make the image on my TV smaller?

The picture format in the TV or connected device may be set to ZOOM. To change the TV's picture format, press the [FORMAT] button on the TV's remote repeatedly to select a different picture format, such as FULL or JUST.  If the TV is set to a picture format other than ZOOM already, the picture format of a connected device such as a cable or satellite box may need to be changed.  Please reference the  owner's manual of the connected device for the procedure to change its picture format.

My TV only has a digital audio output.  How do I connect  headphones or a home theater to my television with RCA, white and red audio, cables?

You must connect an optical cable to the TV to send audio from the TV to another device. You may connect the other end of the optical cable to a digital to analog audio converter.  A digital to analog audio converter can convert the audio to analog and send the audio to your headphones or home theater system using an RCA connection.
