Panasonic Factory Assembly Tools



The Panasonic EYFRZ01 is an eight tool qualifier for communicating to Panasonic’s wireless factory tools. The simple design provides the operator a clear visual and audio feedback informing the operator of a pass or fail fastening strategy. By enabling error proofing capabilities, defects can be reduced, increasing overall productivity and product quality.

Error Proofing / Poka-yoke



Reduce the amount of defects by incorporating the Assembly Qualifier (AQ) . The AQ provides that next level of security through error proofing. Below is a list of some of the AQ’s error proofing capabilities

Benefit from the batch count feature when fastening multiple screws by simply connecting the controller directly to a line stop or a PLC to prevent defects from moving down the assembly line.










Assure Product Quality with Proof



Part traceability plays an important role in assuring ones customers with documentation about the assembly process. Panasonic’s AQ provides multiple options for data collection (see below). The torque data sent over by the tool to the controller can be married with the serial number, captured by a PLC or Bar Code Scanner, and either stored for future retrieval or sent out to a server.

AQ Programming Software



Tool Manager is the user-friendly software for programming the eight tool Assembly Qualifiers. Tool Manager opens to the live status page showing the current AQ display and quick links for basic programming of Panasonics Wireless Assembly Tools. Easily and quickly create, backup or restore controller setting within seconds of connecting to an AQ controller.










Secure Tool Communication



The AQ uses Xbee, a form of Zigbee, to communicate wirelessly with Panasonic Assembly Tools providing an interference free network. Due to the frequency that Xbee uses virtually no other wireless devices are affected by our signal.










Operator Visual Indicator



Reduce the overall assembly process time with an operator visual for OK / NOK and Batch Complete status. The highly visible control panel can be seen over 20’ away. The adjustable audible tone registers up to 85 db to notify the operator of a pass or failed fastener. This visual and audio feedback helps the operator know whether to move on to the next fastener or stop and rework the product.











Quick Changeover



Running multiple products on an assembly line can require quick changeover during manufacturing breaks to reduce downtime. The process known as mixed build can be easily setup utilizing the AQ controller. This versatility of the AQ controller uses a bar code reader or remote I/O to select the application and within seconds the tools are capable of running the new product.
