The camera should be stored away from direct sunlight and heat. Temperature range should not exceed 40 Celsius to 104 Fahrenheit. If the camera is stored improperly, it will degrade your waterproof performance.

The following steps should be taken after using the camera in the water: 1. Rinse the camera with fresh water (tap water), and then let it soak in the container of fresh water for 10 minutes. 2. Only open the SD Card / Battery or terminal cover door with dry hands. Do not open when the unit is in water, damp or dusty environment (e.g. the beach).
To prevent water leakage, please follow these guidelines: - Check that no foreign objects such as sand, hair, dust or any liquid is present on or near the area of the door seals. - Use the provided brush to clean the areas on and around the seals. - Properly close the door securely by pressing it firmly until it clicks.
