Camera Management System
Model number: BB-HGW700A
Allows you to automatically configure up to 16 Panasonic network cameras, enables internet access, creates a customer portal page and enables multi-level security control.
Each camera should have its own port number. Think of IP addresses as the street address of an apartment building, and the port number as the number of a particular apartment within that building. If a letter (a data packet) is sent to the apartment building (IP) without an apartment number (port number) on it, then nobody knows whom (which service) it is intended for. In order for the delivery to be successful, the sender needs to include an apartment number along with the address to ensure the letter gets to the right domicile.
The Ethernet cable is required for the initial setup so that the camera can be seen by your router. The SSID and the security encryption (WEP/WPA) located in the wireless section of your router can be entered into the wireless section of camera after the connection has been established.
Some of the cameras have a small recessed button on the bottom that can be hit by using a small pointed object (such as a paperclip or pen). Other models have a flap on the side that has a reset and a restart button.
There is no default password. If the password is forgotten, the unit must be reset to factory default and the setup process must be performed again.
In the majority of the time, you cannot access your viewnetcam.com address inside to your local network. Your viewnetcam.com address (ex: Redrose.viewnetcam.com:5000) is meant to be used when you are not on your local network.
